Lol, I just flew thru the neighborhood fireworks. Would have been nice to use the normal settings like you recommended but I used D-log M at 4k/60 with a 12,600 iso max. Still I think it turned out ok. I loved those stills.
I have the same drone as you but on the 4th of July I flew my Air 2S. I can’t remember my camera settings off hand but my video and photos came out nice. I even did a short hyperlapse at one point during the show. Of course I edited all the RAW photos to my liking. What I was hoping for in this video is that you continued to do your tests during the finale since that is when the fireworks are at its brightest. I usually start dialing in my settings for the finale a few minutes before it happens so I’m not scrambling when it happens. ISO is always at 100. I’ll base the aperture on how bright the fireworks are so my shot isn’t overexposed. Side note, were you running your DJI Mic into the RC Pro or did you have a camera setup off to the side?
Thank you for posting! I will be doing my first community fireworks this Thursday and I'm exited to know that great videography doesn't have to fly though it. I did noticed a color shift in the video at :57 and I am wondering what happened there. Also, how are you grabbing the audio? As i'm sure that will be an item of interest in the meeting. Thanks!!
