@@ErikaLodes don't the cuttings usually revert to the regular Sanseveria? Like they loose their whale fin shape and go back to "normal"

Erika splits one expensive/‘rare’ plant into three expensive/‘rare’ plants. Me: instant plant stonks.

Thanks for the informative video! If you were to cut at the rhizome would you wait for it to callous over or stick them immediately in the soil as you did?

It's not necessary. It will absorb some of the extra water that would be harmful to the roots. This is especially nice if you are heavy handed with the watering can.

question what would be the best size pot for snake plant to grow pups can the plant procude babies in 10cm wide pots or it needs to be larger? Thanks :)

My whale fin leaf is dying, but it has a lot of babies on it. What do I do.
@mrstefansgreens
@mrstefansgreens 4 года назад
I think the reason why the bigger fins were cut is because this is a way to promote more pups inside the pot

@@ErikaLodes hahaha I know right lol, they are so cute when their just poking lol. Sansevieria's are slow grower but it's really rewarding to see them grow and getting babies, I love your Whale fins I hope they are doing well. Can't wait for the updates.

hello, I just won a bid on Ebay for 26.00 bucks I'm super excited!! questions do you think my single whale will create babies? mine doesn't have the risen
@lastofthe70schildren70
@lastofthe70schildren70 3 года назад
Yes they do. I bought 2 single whale fins about 3 months ago and they have both had baby whale fins. One had 2 and the other had just one. It’s amazing how fast the spring up. I’ve literally propagated the 3 baby plants.

My whale fin is starting to die on me. I took it out of the soil and there are no rizones on these plants. There are only roots. But it is rotting around where the roots are. What should I do.
@kimberlyrice4812
@kimberlyrice4812 3 года назад
It's likely from overwatering. Let it dry out between waterings, and don't let it sit in a wet saucer. You can also choose to do leaf propagation to help save it.
