Can you tell me if there is a certain kind of hibiscus plant I need to buy. I went to my local nursery only to find a few different kinds of hibiscus plants. Thank you for sharing your tortoise knowledge. Rick
Rick Rivera All hibiscus’s are edible for tortoises. The leaves , the flowers , and the pods. Just make sure when you get your plant to make sure it’s been thoroughly washed and let it quarantine itself for a few weeks before feeding . This is to make sure that all chemicals are out of the system of the plant . No problem for sharing the knowledge ! Thanks for watching and supporting me !
i Might have miss this in all your informational videos but can sulcata eat Romain lettuce every day as well as alfalfa and orchard hay? on my way to buy cement bins. thank you
My sulcata is a year and a half I feed her mustard greens, collard greens, nopal, red leaf and romaine. She takes a soak for 20 minutes a day and walks outside for about two hours a day since we don’t have grass in the back of my California house so is that ok and she is going to move back into a 3 ft by 2 ft by 2 ft wooden enclosure outside is this fine or should I switch something
Cucumber is a controversial food item it should be treated as if you’re feeding fruit . So In a controlled moderation that would be ok , also remove the seeds for the cucumber . Pumpkin should be fed whole and fresh.
I have a 2 month old hatchling. Loves the greens but won’t touch the hay pellets that I soaked to make a mash. Is this something they will eat later as the grow?
They usually pick it up with appetite later on , but what I recommend is sprinkling the hay and pellets in tiny pieces over the already diet of greens that your tortoise will eat.
@@ReadyReptiles damn. I just bought untreated pine. Thoughts? Should I seal? Or for sulcatas, think it will be fine for a while? Or should I use a sealer?

Hmmm in case you weren’t aware, the video has to do with how to take care of a sulcata tortoise. Your comment has NOTHING to do with what the video is about. If you have a problem with women, deal with it on your own. Your ignorance and stupidity DOESNT need to be displayed in the comment section of a guy who is simply entertaining animal lovers and showing his passion for it :) it’s embarassing! seriously though, what type of question is that?! I’m sorry you have a problem with women, I feel bad for you honestly ! Much love xx
