Mini drones comes under nano category 250gms you need to put drone in check in and batteries and RC controller in cabin bag. But always check with your airline first and then decide. Few airlines have different policies for drones.
i tried to send my avata 2 through customs. it got security checked, but luckily not rejected. i think you have to have it in its original packaging like i did. which includes the plastic bags and stuff. lots of people throw them away though…
I got my drone from TH with all the boxes, bill and everything that was in cabin baggage. In India custom checked and asked a couple of questions then allowed to carry.
