The piece came out so dope. Love ve the freestyle elements you added at the end. Would you consider making a video even if it is longer that is shows the steps you time lapse through. I watch a ton of Procreate tutorials and some of the most popular channels are offering simple and intermediate tutorials where they literally go step by step by step showing you and explaining how to use procreate's features and tools-- right on down to what brush size they to draw a line for explain--and by the time you finish you have a completed art piece to share online and your smarter about how to use procreate. please consider. ❤ You have some amazing art onnyour channel.
@@LeslieGrantlovefaithhope thank you so much for the feedback. I have a bit of improving to do with my delivery. I’m currently working on a series of videos to break down procreate in it’s entirety. Be on the look out for some more content. Thank you again Leslie 🫶🏾💯
After countless videos on “cartoon yourself”……this is the first time I’ve ever seen anyone pencil sketch first, usually folks go straight to inking. Your method seems wayyyyy better. I’m gonna try this!
Here is a more clear version if you want to take a look How to Cartoon Yourself in Procreate | Step-By-Step Tutorial | Tips and Tricks ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zdMeCd0Njww.html
Thank you for sharing. I bought procreate and an Apple Pencil a week ago. I’ve made a couple nice pieces but I love seeing how you navigate the layers.
@@rebrandcreative I’m 68 and wanted to be a Cartoonist as a kid. Mad Magazine’s Don Martin (RIP) was a hero. I’m just learning this procreate…my word it’s like magic. Be well!
Thank you for watching. I want to make a part 2 with better visuals. I’ve received a good amount of comments about the auto focus so I’ll update that and re release some new content. Stay tuned 😊
Wow! I found this tutorial today, and it was pretty helpful to me. Thanks mate, for share this with us, newby cartoonists! I use to work with Sketchbook Pro and Photoshop, but this is about the same process in those softwares.
I appreciate the detailed step by step instructions, speed drawings are entertaining, but they don’t help much. I look forward to watching more of your great work!
I definitely want to make sure that you are able to take away from the content I produce so. I would greatly appreciate alittle bit more feedback so I can create a better experience moving forward. Thank you again
@@rebrandcreative thank you, it’s very kind of you to reply and offer to further share your knowledge. So far, I mostly have experience with photoshop elements and I only recently began experimenting with procreate. I guess you can say that I’m learning the basics of procreate, but I’m hoping that the similarities between the two will speed up the process. Your step by step instructions are very helpful in this process. I love your style and it’s very similar to what I envision some of my projects (your most recent upload in particular) so I’ll definitely be following your work. In the meantime, I need to educate myself with the basics of procreate 😊
@@rebrandcreative Like one of the other comments said. I think a good video would be brush sets and where and how to get them. I myself am totally new to Procreate and after watching your video that was the first thing that came to my mind. Where did he get those brushes and maybe how can you change those settings. At the moment I am a bit overwhelmed by all these options to be honest. But like I said. Your video was great. On point with the information and quite easy to follow. And I love your artstyle :)
Ohh that’s a great idea. I will definitely make a video to cater to that. Thank you for your feedback. I totally understand this maybe a tad bit overwhelming but I will try to make sure to provide helpful content to inspire you to continue your journey!
Thank you so much Jennifer. I know I had a few camera issues with the auto focus and my apologies for that. I made similar video with better production quality How to Cartoon Yourself in Procreate | Step-By-Step Tutorial | Tips and Tricks ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zdMeCd0Njww.html
Thank you very much! Check out a similar video that’s I’ve posted recently . Link below: How to Cartoon Yourself in Procreate | Step-By-Step Tutorial | Tips and Tricks ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zdMeCd0Njww.html
I really like how it came out! Ha now you inspired me to try and cartoon myself . I use procreate as my main tool, so I like seeing how artists use it to illustrate. I am always looking to learn something new or to refine or streamline my technique. Thank you for sharing! I will have to check out some of your other vids. 🙂
Thank you Angela. I appreciate your kind words and feedback. I will be making more similar videos so stay tuned so we can all grow together. Thank you for your support 😄🫶🏾
I tried my first cartoon illustration from this video! And it didn’t turn out as bad but I definitely need more practice to get on your level! Thank you!! How long did it take for you get that good at cartoon on procreate if you don’t mind me asking? Watching the video about brushes next!
Hey Jazzie First off, thank you so much for watching this video, hopefully I was able to help you the best way I could. I’ve been a digital artist for about 6 year now and it took me a while to adapt to it coming from a more traditional background, so keep practicing and do worry about what it looks like now. The goal is repetition and getting the hang of the platform. I will definitely make more videos to help more in the near future.

Oh man that’s a great idea. I get my work printed all the time so I think helping you all properly set up your files for print jobs could be a solid video
Hi ❤I love your videos they’re very helpful, I’m currently working on projects on my procreate and wondering how do you get the sushi brush? I don’t see the link
Thank you so much for the support. Unfortunately I upgraded iPads and lost the brush files. I’m working trying to recreate and distribute to my followers when I get a chance
Great drawing - definitely a cartoony style. I like the minimalist nature of this. The only thing is - you made yourself look about 20 years older than the reference pic. First time watching any vid of yours and I've been watching a lot of procreate tuts lately. New to digital drawing, myself, so trying to see as many styles as I can and learn as many tips/tricks, etc. I have to disagree with you on part of your statement, personally. I love to recreate images that I see. And as long as I'm not selling them - I think it's perfectly fine to try to illustrate someone else's image. I'm not a fan of stealing anyone else's work for commercial gain, by any means. But there are sites that exist where people upload images FOR you to use for commercial purposes - whether for drawing, illustrating or anything else. And as long as you have permission to use someone else's image for whatever you're doing - there's absolutely nothing wrong with using images and photos that aren't yours. It doesn't make you less of an artist to do so and it doesn't make you more of an artist to not do so. You may not have an image or photo of the thing you want to illustrate and someone else may - if they don't mind you using their stuff - go ahead.
That’s great that you have your own personal intentions when it comes to art inspiration and reference drawing. I do believe finding inspiration or reference work to fuel creativity is a great thing but there are caveats to that if not handled properly. It’s totally okay to disagree with what I’m saying and I’m well aware that there are sites you can be use as inspiration to create digital or even traditional work but the unfortunate truth is that some people do copy / steal / or neglect the idea of give the credit to the original creator. That’s just the reality of it. So, on my platform I try to give people the slightest inspiration to use your own source of photography for this particular tutorial, to avoid the middle man and it can potentially spare the headache in the long run. Ive personally had someone monetize off of my work without me knowing or even giving me credit for my original work and I had to call the person out on that. I’ve also, mentioned in my video to make sure to get granted permission if you are going to use someone’s else work, which you’ve already mentioned in your response lol so some of ours ideas do align. Ultimately I try to speak in generalities in my videos because everyone’s personal experiences and preferences aren’t the same. Of course we are entitled to our own opinions on this stance so my response isn’t to convince you to think otherwise but I will stand on what I’ve said due to my personal experience in digital space art.
You can but you may have to use different software and purchase a drawing tablet. Like photoshop or clip studio paint for the software and a Wacom as your drawing devices. Which is also have and It’s great
Thank you. I appreciate you. The easiest solutions is to increase your canvas size. So let’s trying this increase your canvas size to 10 inches x 10 inches and you should be good. Try that and let me know
