Hey, could you, or any1 that does this profesionally, answer me if its normal for beginner(which made for example about 10 watermelons till now) to need like 10 hours to do this or its way too slow? And if I practice relatively enough will I be able to finish for example this kind of carving in about an hour and half or smth like that?? How long does it take to you, if u could answer it please? Im so sad, cos I love it so much, but my hands hurt and I cant make gifts like this because it takes a whole day for me to make perfect one... So its like imposible to make more than one watermelon carving in a day... I have no sharp knife actually, so I think that's one of the biggest problems for my slowlyness and hands hurt. Also im kind of perfectionist and cant keep watching little things in my melon like pieces of unclear cuts and things like that, so I waste time making it perfect. Plus, I lose my focus after 2 hours and continue after making huge pauses. Sometimes I pause whole day and continue tomorrow. That also slows me down... I just wonder how much time it takes for a professional chef to make one of those beautiful masterpieces... :(
