Jisoo Choi We recommend using the Resin Obsession super clear resin. It is specifically designed for molds. It mixes in a thin viscosity and bubbles are almost never a problem, especially if you are careful when mixing.

any chance you could show how to apply an object in the sphere resin so it sits in the middle?

+ianthegamer Thanks for the suggestion! Will be happy to get that on the schedule.

Maybe somewhere out there there's a clear sphere mold where you can see what you're doing? Pour half, dry, place your object, pour the rest??? Or get a semi-sphere mold, do one first maybe missing 1/4, place your object, pour the missing part so that your object is halfway out, dry; repeat to complete a sphere, this time you put the 1st half in a way the object is right in the middle. But I don't know... those are the solutions I can think of but haven't tested...

How can i get bubbles out of a sphere casting? I'm finding that even if when i pour there are no bubbles, theres many tiny ones when i take it out of the mold. The heat method is rather difficult for this type of mold obviously...

Try rolling the resin around inside the mold before completely filling it up.

Hey! I've been having trouble finding a sphere mold like the one you're using in the video. Any leads on where I can buy/how I can make one? Thanks so much 🤞😊

I was about to start my first resin project, and was wondering how would you sand it. Doesn't it become opaque and scratchy on the surface after?
@ResinObsession

Great question! I show how to sand and finish a bracelet here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-51kSn5Xqfw8.html

1200 grit wet dry sandpaper. Keep it wet and if you need, apply a gloss.

If I wanted to add an object into the resin sphere, do I add it before adding the resin mixture? Or is there another way?
@ResinObsession
@ResinObsession 9 лет назад
+junglepitts You will want to add in some resin, then add your item. Otherwise, you may trap bubbles.

does it work as a bouncy ball as in is it bouncy
@ResinObsession
@ResinObsession 6 лет назад
No, unfortunately it could dent or break. If you want a bouncy ball, you will need to cast it in silicone rubber.

Yes. They will blend a bit at the junction where the colors meet.

Me too!! I have flower petals I want to make sure they end up centered and not sunk down to the bottom! Also, how do you keep the glitter from sinking too the bottom? Maybe I'm using heavy glitter?

lisa houston Just experiment...?
@lisahouston4274
@lisahouston4274 9 лет назад
I am guess that with the flower petals sinking,and if they are real,dried,im assuming that layers would work,with a small dripper of some kind,I use lisa p,uv,because its just made for small sets.I am still intimidated with mine,I should of bought those frozen ice cube round sphere molds,silicon,perfect for experimenting,now I see they have a smaller set of some,which would work better.I do not know about others sphere molds,but the silicone used is translucent type but too think of silicone to see inside.Or just buy the round glass balls made for ring blanks and use those,which is a lot easier.. Keep me up on what you guys are finding works,and other ways..peace,Lisa
