A sturdy long handled net in thick weed patches on lakes and canals often yields hundreds of shrimp within a few scoops. You find many types of critters in it too. It helps to have a nets of various sizes handy for hard to reach places between rocks. I live next to a quiet marshy canal leading to a lake so the weeds are thicker which means more shrimp among crawfish, various guppies, leeches, snails, etc.
Thankyou for showing us how to catch shrimp and telling us what to use , sending prayers to you and your family and everyone God bless you and your family and everyone
I tried last year using a smaller dip net. Very slow. I'll try a bigger net like this and target the poles. I made them into fermented shrimp and put them in kimchi.
I found some small shrimp in a flounder I got in South Jersey the other day but didn’t know what kind they were..Look like those shrimp, maybe about 2” long at most and smaller.Guess they might be good flounder bait? There were acouple really small crabs in its stomach also..Not sure what kind they were?
