A bit different here in Tassie..... Star sinker on the bottom ..then a two baits ( usually bluebait ) and a red or blue popping bug on top ..Three baits altogether..Had many double ups and one three hook up once ... They often go nuts here on the east coast of Tasmania with that rig...

nice fish mate, a good heads up on the rig, seems way simpler than the traditional 3 gang hook. hate those things. also not seen the sand drainage thing. neat, obvious in retrospect. good drainage is essential in the quality of your fishmeat. n get your cameraman (girl) some good kit, seems she enjoys it ;-) yup, gonna have to hit my old man up for a fish, he's right by the beach n gets greif from his ol girl that he has all this fishing kit but dosnt fish much. cmon dad, theres a feast out there! (we did when i was little, but havent in aages) good catch, n excellent your gettin ur kids in the fun. n aussie salmon are a fun fish to catch. good game dude.

You should stunt them before doing the cut. Thats how its recommended.

You have a baitrunner reel, but you don't even use the baitrunner part of it? What's the point in buying a baitrunner reel then? Just buy a normal one.

Why would you want to target salmon,they are shit to eat and are a pest when targeting other species,they will eat anything no special bait needed.I will admit they are a good sport fish on light gear,other than that l would never purposly target them.They used to net them here in NSW for pet food but the arse fell out of the market.
