How to catch beach worms is a simple guide to catching beach worms in Australia. Beach worms are a great bait for beach fishing and in this video, Wardy teaches his son to catch beach worms.
How to catch beach worms starts with spotting in worms in the surf, how beach worms respond to a stink bait and how beach worms take a piece of hand bait. Beach worms are so fast that getting them to take a hand. bait is just the beginning. As Cody finds out, catching beach worms is hard but the hard work pays off.
It is a proud moment is a father's life when his son catches his first beach worm. So does Cosy manage to catch a beach worm?

Yes they sure do. Dead low tide and you will find them in patches.

Wardys Fishing - Where can these be caught on Sydney beaches?

I did some research and seems like they get the odd patch on the beaches of Sydney but you will have to get away from the crowds to catch them in good numbers like we do in Queensland. But if you have some old bait that can be washed around in the water at low tide, it might be worth a try. See what pops its head up. Wardy

Hi Wardy can I catch worms in Corio Bay Geelong?

G'day mate. You won't catch beachworms there. The mangroves are all long gone so no blood worms so I guess the only worms in the area may be pink wrigglers. Being a Qlder, not my area of expertise but I do know the area you are talking about.

😏😂😆, when I first got to Oz & some old fisho was telling me to take an onion bag full of fish frames and heads and walk it up and down the tide line- like I was walking a dog, I thought he was pulling my leg & trying to see how gullible I was😆. They dig marine worms with a garden fork in the U.K. 😏

We dig marine worms with garden forks too. Thats another video. But it is very different isn't it. There used to be an old bloke who used to collect worms and sell them to the bait shops. As kids we all thought that his feet were so rotten that when he walked on the sand, the worms would come up to eat his feet and he'd catch them. But its a skill that has caught me a lot of fish over the years.

G'day Legend. Not sure where you live mate but in Queensland, we have three main marine worms for fishing. Blood, wriggler and beach worms. The blood worms are found in the mangroves. The soft mud that takes ages to wash off your legs. I dig them up with a garden fork. They are about 10cms long and have little claws that bite you. They are a maroon colour and are a great bait for whiting. Wriggers are rare but when found are also a great whiting bait. They can be found in sandy river banks and canals. But what I am catching in the video are beach or sand worms. They can get up to 2m long. They are a great bait but if I am chasing whiting in the rivers, blood or wriggler worms are better than beach worms. But in the surf, beach worms are the go, Hope that helps mate. Wardy
