I love my sight fishing for bream and one of the best baits to do this with is the 50mm Ecogearaqua Bream Prawn, 50mm rigged on a #1 unweighted worm hook.
I've livestreamed fishing this a lot and get plenty of questions about the technique. Here's the tackle, the techniques and the secrets about how to do it properly.

The hot orange would be interesting on trout when they are eating the roe.... I will have to give the technique a go on the bream. Great vid 👌🏽

Hi Steve - firstly, great video. I'm itching to try this technique on the NSW far south coast estuarine lakes and rivers. Question - the butter yellow coloured rod you show in this video (at 2:52) - would you mind sharing the make, model and specs for it? I know you refer to it as your 'Aqua rod' in this and other videos and it looks like an absolute weapon for ultra light lure fishing.

It’s a rod I bought on sale a few years ago. It’s a 7’6” Nordic Stage artist. I haven’t been able to find them ever since.

Firstly thank you for sharing your experience. How do they compare to the Berkley 2" Gulp Shrimp for the same application?

In my experience the Gulp Shrimp is more difficult to rig straight. IMO the Aqua flavor is superior. Both catch fish, but the Gulp Shrimp is possibly better on a jighead.

Hi Steve, great video very informative thanks, I live on the Sunshine Coast just wondering are you roughly saying that about 3 hours before high tide the fish will be out of the pontoon , I think you said one third of the high tide. I have a boat , does the same rules apply when fishing close to rocks or sandbanks by boat. Thanks Geoff

They tend to roam around on the top third of the tide and bunker down on the lower half in deeper water and/or near structure.

Hi mate thanks so much for sharing, i find having a rod and a half of leader is difficult to cast due to wind knots. Any chance you could do your line/leader knot tutorial, i assume its an fg however most fgs are for 20lb and higher, maybe you've got some tips for casting an fg off the spool?

You can tie FG in 4 and 6lb leader, which casts off the reel no worries.

Hey mate absolutely awesome video! I noticed U caught all the fish basically on the drop. If U don't get any takers on the drop do U bounce it back with some pauses. Or just bring it in and cast again?! Thanks!

Hi Steve, Great video, what type of weight would you use around bridge pilons especially if the water is about 4-6m deep, tide is running fairly well on the in or out going. Or that wouldn't work as well in deeper water with the tide running.

You can rig them on a jighead to suit. This video was about unweighted.

Steve, you said you were not a fan of the orange colour, of the Bream are colourblind then doesn't the orange just said the angler to see their lure a bit longer? Or perhaps the orange is pretty bad compared to say white or chartreuse after 4ft
