Hey @peterstewart2401, great to hear the TT blades have been part of your kit for years and thanks for supporting an Australian Owned & Operated Family Business. I've nailed a good variety of species on the SwitchPrawn+ and already have some favourite colours ;). Hope you get out and stuck into a few fish soon. Cheers, Justin

Nice work @mattyboy.1, a lot of people will never land a legal tarwhine as they are a rarer catch in a lot of regions. Great to hear that you put the SwitchPrawn+ to work. Fish on! Cheers, Justin

Really nice lure. Bought a couple at bcf and tried the last two days. Really good action and easy to use. Cheaper than the ecogear zx range and fishes nicely. Great colour range, ive gone with the yabby colour and the gold tiger so far, but they all look great. Very impressed. Thanks

What do you use as your set ups ? Rod and reel sizes plz
@tackletacticstv7687
@tackletacticstv7687 6 месяцев назад
Hey @markuren3957, I am running half a dozen TT Red Belly spin rods, with Okuma Ceymar HD spinning reels currently and they perform great and are excellent vale for money. I spool these with Platypus Pulse X8 Braid in White and Hard Armour Leader Supple Leader in 10lb. My light combo is a 7', 1-3kg rod with a 1000 reel and 6lb braid, medium combo is a 7', 2-4kg, 2500 reel and 8lb braid and heavy is 7', 3-6kg, 2500 reel and 10lb braid. Check out the video description text also as I try to include a full breakdown where I can. Hope this helps and you're getting stuck into a few soon. Cheers, Justin

Hi Justin Lure is Yabby UV. Doe's a real Bass Yabby glow unger UV ?
@tackletacticstv7687
@tackletacticstv7687 9 месяцев назад
Hey @howarddavey6642 I'll have to hit one with a UV torch next time I pump some to chase whiting. Apparently a lot of bugs and aquatic creatures have micro UV highlights that fish zone in on. UV-reactive elements have definitely proven to attract fish, so you'll find the orange highlights on the lure are UV-reactive. I've caught a few fish on it... so I'm happy with the UV element ;). Hope all's well and you're finding a fish. Cheers, Justin

@tackletacticstv7687
@tackletacticstv7687 8 месяцев назад
Hey @royanthonycusani1895, glad you enjoyed the video. I generally fish from the Gold Coast to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, but love the opportunity to fish further afield. I prefer to focus on technique and types of structure that we are fishing rather than location as fish will move with season, tide, weather, bait and other variables. If you have a solid arsenal of techniques and some knowledge of structure to fish them around, along with some proven lures in your kit, you go a long way to finding fish in most locations. All the best with the fishing. Cheers, Justin

Ive fished the prawn blades for ages, great fish takers but you lose 25- 30% of the fish hooked, even when ive upped the size to no4 assist the hooks just pull so often and you lose fish i just dont use them now..
@tackletacticstv7687
@tackletacticstv7687 9 месяцев назад
Hey @alleycat8483, no issue for me on the hooksets as yet, chasing bass in the fresh and a mixed bag in the salt. The thing I love is the variety of species that eat them! That's why we have plenty of lure options though... different species, scenarios, techniques and styles... so that we can try and switch on a bite if it's not happening. All the best with the fishing. Cheers, Justin

I agree. The fish hit the blade hard and the assist hooks rely on catching a solid hook up. Often it’s not the case. Sooooo. I made my own assist hooks in trebles. I staggered the length so they trail each other. It has been a game changer!! Don’t tell TT tho. They will probably patent the design 😂
@stephencyster
@stephencyster 9 месяцев назад
Could the hook pulls be rod related as opposed to the lure? What action is the red belly rod that was being used? Then compare it to the action of your rod
@antonb8422
@antonb8422 9 месяцев назад
@@stephencyster I fish a Diawa Battler Silverwolf when fishing this blade. Don’t believe it’s rod related.
