You may be wondering "This is only 6 casts, the Lv.90-99 method is like 10-11 casts per window!?" -- Modest Lure's increase of Precision Hookset fish in the hole - combined with the amount of precision hookset fish in the actual hole, makes it so that even though you get less casts per window, the chance for Fork to bite is INCREASED when Modest Lure is at 3x stacks OR you get the guaranteed small-size fish proc.
Been seeing a lot of people using Modest Lure lately on Furcacauda and couldn't understand why. I tried a bit and didnt get any results... Until I saw this video demonstrating a bit more about it. I'm honestly surprised! I've been at it for many windows prior to DT, but after trying this method once I finally managed to catch it like a charm! So thank you very much for your guides as always, they're the best~ *Now to see if this will work on salad, it's my last fish from SHB lol
@@justlexi8170 this method wont work on salad, unfortunately. There is another method though that is being tested, but will take some time because of salads downtimes.

@@justlexi8170 salad is a precision hookset fish, as is every other fish in the hole with bait bugs. The only thing you're doing with this method is getting less casts out. Like I said there is a potential other method to help, but unsure yet if it is useful.
Lures do not reset the timer of the fish. Each time you use a Lure there is a 'grace period' where fish will *never* bite. If a fish could've bitten during any that grace period, it will bite immediately when it ends. If a fish's bite window closed before the grace period ends - or Lure rerolls into a fish who's bite period is already over, then it will bite at the end of the of the grace period. So in this case, we use Chum to force any bite in the hole to have bitten _before_ the grace period ends, so regardless of what bites - it will always bite at the end of the grace period at ~12-14s after casting. If you look at the macro I use (and it's in the video description) I have the grace period built in.
No! !!! bites can be caught with either Precision OR Powerful hookset. It's (usually) determined on the size of the fish. Furcacauda is a smaller fish, so Modest Lure would be used since it would require Precision Hookset if you were using Patience. *Which, again for clarity, patience is NEVER required to catch big/legendary fish, nor does it have any impact on their bite rates. Hopefully that clears things up a little?
Despite displaying the !!! graphic, Furcacuada is actually a classified as a light tug, which you can confirm by looking at the animation of the rod itself. The !!!, in this case, simply indicates you have a Big/Legendary fish on the line. The Lures work off hookset type (now visible in the fish guide), not the helper !/!!/!!! graphic Like with a lot of FSH terminology it’s unclear and has weird exceptions (hi Salter) that you just have to internalize
