How to Catch Here and There Fish in DISNEY Dreamlight Valley. The EASIEST WAY! 

FYI, the Hear and There Fish do NOT have to be caught inside ANY ring of bubbles. I caught 20 in just plain water on Dazzle Beach tonight. I have caught many of them in other ponds as well, again in NO bubble ring. (As for the Well Fed bonus, yes, when I was full up, I caught more & got the bonus fish far more often). ALSO don't forget your fishing buddy, as it will double your catch! You will also get a lot of seaweed & some cod, but don't give up! I've caught nearly 100 of them so far.

Thank you for telling us that you cannot catch it until you finish Nala’s final quest. I kind of figured that anyway, but it’s good to know that I haven’t wasted time trying to catch it before hand. I think I’m either level 8 or 9 with her so I’m almost there. Even though the fish is very ugly I am excited to cook new recipes with it. And I’m very excited to see what other things or maybe CHARACTERS they will later bring from the here and there to the valley. I can’t wait for the Dreamlight fruit tree to finish growing! I just fished in Frozen Heights (because it was the last biome I closed the rift in,) at around 8pm while I was playing. I had a full golden bar of energy, and caught my first one in 3 casts: deliberately avoiding any bubbles. I grabbed a fishing buddy who was nearby, and within three or four minutes I had six fish…and even got a critical win on a piece of seaweed that spat out 6 special fish in the mini-game! I had been so nervous about it being ‘extremely rare’, but I had the opposite luck instead and walked away with a lucky dozen. 😊

I didn't use bubbles at all, caught it in the first 4 casts. You are better off NOT using a bubble ring.

after looking at their wiki page, they show up between 6 and 10, both AM and PM. so you have to get them either late at night or early in the morning. then you have to wait. They are not an all the time random fish that you can get. also, the fugu appears only when it rains and kingfish shows up at night when the sun is down. if you wanna get the here-and-there fish, NEVER use the potion.

OMGOSH I looked this up 5 times and literally nothing says to finish Nala’s quest. I was getting so mad and anxious. I needed to catch them for the event. Thank you so much

Your video helped my catch the fish! I had all of 10 minutes left when I clicked on the video, and as soon as you gave me the time window and said don't bother with bubbles, I caught one with 2 minutes to spare.

I’ve been fishing for 2 days. During the right time. No fish. And I’m on NALA lvl 10. And during the right time. So frustrating

Supposedly the hours for the here and there fish to appear are 6pm-10am. I haven't tried in the morning yet, but I caught 50 of them fairly easily just standing and fishing outside of the white bubbles in the Meadow. It was every 4 casts at the very most for me. Nice video, keep up the good work!

thank you! i've been trying for nearly an hour now after getting Nala to lv 10 friendship after i read in an article that i needed her friendhip quest to unlock them, but the other articles say for best chance was to have the Well Fed gold bar and the Micraculus Fish Bait potion so NOW i know that it wasn't helping AT ALL. I could have been stocking up on my seaweed all this time trying to catch this Here And There Fish/Blobfish instead of fishing in the Forgotten Lands and just getting Anglerfish to either sell or use in recipes that villagers order. Also, as soon as I started doing Nala's questline, I immediately felt sorry for her because I made her a fishing buddy... but she's getting better at fishing :)

I wasn't sure at first on how to catch this little fish but after watching your video MrStarInSky, I now know where to start & what to do next on how to catch him. honestly i kept trying for a couple minutes but never got one. then i red online to do the bait potion but had a feeling to watch a video came here and watched then immediately went to dazzle beach decided to try fishing with no bubbles and immediately got one! thanks for this video!! glad i trusted my instincts on the potion and watched this!

Ok, awesome find. I immediately got off and went to fish before it was too late. Since my pole still had potion on it I got my fishing buddy and did NO bubbles. It worked great 👍. I was popping them out at beach easy. I continued past 8 to see if it stopped and it didn't so it does go past 8pm. I decided to stop once I had 30 cuz that seemed to be enough 😅. I wouldn't eat that either, I'll just stick with the Berry Salad or something. Also wonder what's the deal with this "Here & There" dimention, Minnie mentioned it in her Secret Quest too

When you do the "Staking Your Destiny" quest with Nala you look for four types of fish (though they are in two groups)- Common and Uncommon (first grouping), Rare and Unique (second pairing). When I caught a fish in the no circle area it did count on the first group. If I had to guess the breakdown goes like this (based on how the count changed on the quest tracker during the quest)... Common - no bubbles Uncommon - white bubbles Rare - Blue bubbles Unique - Gold bubbles Theoretically (based on this activity) it's a common fish and you should catch it in the non circled area. The wiki I'm using seems to confirm this and state that they are available from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM and then again at 6:00AM - 10:00 AM. Personal note here, but if you look at them head on, they sort of look like the Blob Fish from Stardew Valley.

Thank you for letting me know about needing max friendship level on Nala. I watch another RU-vidr that didnt mention that in their video. And I was fishing at the right time and got nothing. I've regretted rushing update character level cause it gives me a good amount of time to do nothing between updates. So I don't wanna rush friendship levels.

Hey! Just caught the fish. Thanks for the tips! I want to share how I got mine. I used the potion as many people were recommending but it had zero effect on catching the fish. I caught the fish a little after 9am and I fished in open water with no bubbles. I got it pretty fast when I did that. I’ve caught so many doing it that way within minutes.

Your information in this video is great. Many others are filled with misinformation. I kinda like the look of it 😂 But yeah I will not go out of my way to catch more... I have enough to do one of each meal (for one reason I keep on of each meal in a room full of fridges 😅) But after that it will be only if I have to (quests starpath) or by chance when fishing something else ... But I hate fishing so I will not do that a lot... Also maybe I'm completely insane but I feel like I caught more when fishing near where it used to be the light from Nala's quest.. like 1 every 2/3 fishs sometimes 2 in a row Also completely out of topic but I want to share my pain ! 😅 Today I was redoing my storage room.... And I made a huge mistake ... I made big chests every colour everything is fine .... And then I decided to make another room with 5 huge chests for all the flowers... And ''oh I don't have dreamlight anymore'' weird I had like 180k something like that... So I worked on the duties to catch some DL and when I made the 4 chests I was missing.... I just saw that I have made 12 big blue chests by mistake 😅😅😅😅😭😭😭😭 So now I have 12 chests that used up all my ressources for nothing. I'm laughing but my heart is crying a bit I have to say 😊😢😂

I used the miracle potions and just fished in open water. Caught it o n my fourth cast.

Best and easiest energy resource is the Fruit Salat with 5 Gooseberry because it gives you 3410 Energy (600 Energy per Berry which are 3000 + 410 Energy for the Fruit Salad )

I've been trying for twenty minutes it's 6:44 :/ I have tons of fish. I need the fish to finish nalas quest

Before the update, I would use Lobster roll to get a full gold bar. But now that that we use up energy so fast, it's not efficient to use a food that gives you that much energy at once. You know you are refilling the gold bar constantly now LOL So now I use the berry salad :)

I just caught my here and there fish. It's 11:30am. I went and fished right near where the lion statues that we placed. Caught it in 2 casts. So the time frame isn't correct.

How do I fix the problem.! I accidentally ate the first fish next to my apples and can’t have rely do the recipe! I tried catching another one at no avail? Is this quest for me lost now? 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think the only other time we will need the here and there fish is if someone at Remys restaurant asks for the lioness feast soup or the ghostly fish steak or the recipes that will require the here and there fish

But how do I know if I caught the Here and There fish? Should I keep on fishing in the white circles? And should I pick any villagers that have the fishing skills?

Does anyone know how to reliably catch Fugu fish? I think those are gold bubbles right, and only when it’s raining and only on Dazzle beach? Does the miracle fish bait help with catching those?

Nala is level 10 for me and her quest isn't even available. I thought I had to get the fish quest done to proceed wtf. Also love that the game crashes are back

I caught weird fish by fishing in the red/gold bubbles

I've seen people use the potion and catch the Here-and-there fish. However they caught it by casting into the empty area outside of bubbles/circles after using the potion. Oddly... the potion does not seem to have any noticeable effect. If it does have an effect... then the effect is too small to matter. The potion resulted in a Here-and-there fish every 2-4 casts, without a potion it is still like, 2-4 casts... it is really meaningless. That said, I've never seen anyone test by casting into the bubbles/circles, but I assumed that it does not require bubbles/circles.
