Great video. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I am getting back to fishing after 30 plus year hiatus. It’s interesting how equipment has changed and the advancement in technology. I will be fishing Sam Rayburn in my retirement that starts early 2021.

Our lakes around here are shallow like maybe 12' deep at the deepest part . Spring and fall you can catch big ones on the bank and around pad stems and other structure . I just can,t seem to find em in the summer . I try the channels and out in the ski area but its like they just aint no where to be found . Where the heck do they go ? Driving me crazy because I love to catch em just like I love to watch your videos . Maybe me and the bank needs to buy a Panoptix . +

Great video as usual Greg! Love the jig segment and as a livescope owner of course the images. I love single pole vertical jig & minnner fishing. I've had my livescope for 4 months now on lake corpus Christi. It was low for a couple years, the brush grew up and now its been full pool for a couple years. It is FULL!!! of submerged brush and old original timber but i have yet to find a single school like you just showed. They are scattered in singles and doubles. No schools to be found. I can't wait to get to rayburn, fork, toledo bend and get on some real schools. However, i agree totally, were it not for livescope i would have never ever even seen those fish hugging that timber. And also on the educational side, i was dumbfounded the first time i bombed a crappie with my jig. They'll run from it if you don't ease it down to them. I had 3 fish run like hell because i bombed them. I couldn't believe it! They were horrified of a little ole one inch bug! I learned very quick about presentation, active fish non active fish and to never beg them to bite. If they aint active, you ain't gonna make'em active. As a matter of fact, I've chased them right off of a tree because i pestered them to much. It's amazing at what you learn with livescope. Oh, and let's not forget with livescope you have to learn to not jerk to early!🤣 I've done really well with catfishing also. A spastic perch dropped in front of a fat yeller cat laying under a log is deadly!!! Especially getting to watch him suck it up!

Great video Greg. You sharing this info is priceless. My wife's still mad at you for introducing me to Livescope. But now that she;s experienced it first hand, she thinks it's "cheating" :)

@@GregFenn Done that, she still thinks we're cheating. I asked her, if I were to shut off LVS, would you still want to fish without it? Well, you've already spent the money....

In your experience, does it matter how the jig "hangs" in respect to being horizontal to the surface? My late father believed that it should hang as horizontally level as possible. He would check it just above the water before casting. He thought it looked more natural if it was "level", as he called it. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge with us!
