@@Thonny Yea the 11th. Went today by Gandy and caught 15 trout between 10:30 and 2:00. One 22" one 16" and the rest 15" or less. Kept none, was looking for dinner but didn't pan out.

@@Thonny mirrodine xl suspending twitch c-eyes that looks like a greenback. Caught another 22" last week on the same lure. Also catching my share of catfish, blowfish, and lizard fish on the same lure if you can believe that. BLOWFISH!! (shakes head)

@@andrewrollins4898 Thonny is more the expert than me, but I would say April/May around the time this video was shot. I can recall catching pomps most anytime during the summer. You may not have to travel 2 hours south, try the beaches in your area with doc's goofy jigs tipped with shrimp or sand fleas. Sand fleas alone bare hook on the bottom work, too. Check out Joey Antonelli's channel. He's catching them now in Dec. over by Sebastian Inlet on the east coast with straight sand fleas on a pomp rig. They catch them off the panhandle beaches and Alabama beaches so you're not too far north 2 hours away.

@@Thonny thank you. I've tried a few places over there with no luck so far. I haven't tried super early though so maybe that's the problem.

Dave Scheer yes I have, but I’ve never caught more than one pompano at once. I’ve seen guys do it on RU-vid though but they’re using bait surf fishing for them. I’d give it a shot though ya never know!

Saltyfins ,I've been crusin thru pompano videos and saw a guy called rad fish' he does the teaser about 10 " inches up from the jig and he was catching them on both ,but one at a time , I thought you met him once . Been watching you guys and I'm getting ready to go rip some lips , have you fished the east side of the bridge? Did you do any good ?
