In this episode team Reel Excitement takes a trip to the Garden Route in search of some beautiful spotted grunter. After having some near misses on artificials, Duane combined old school with new school by pumping and adding sand prawns to dropshot jig-heads and flies for some extra weight.
Duane shows us how he catches these spotted grunter. How to approach them, how to present the best bait and how to trick these magnificent cape grunters into ultimately taking the bait. Nothing makes us happier than to see these grunter swim off strong so feel free to use these tips and techniques but please have enough respect for your catch to release at least 2 out of 3 times.
