Do you think color of the bait can determine size of fish eating your jig?

I personally think bait size determines the size of crappie depending on where you are fishing, yes bait colour can inspire bites but when they are aggressive, 'up-sizing' your bait choice can certainly inspire bites from bigger crappie.

Key word there aggressive, when they are, I don't think size or color really matter, at that time I prefer to choose color based on water clarity and what type of food source in the water I'm fishing

@@tonyknott3789 when they are hot I use hot colours and the brighter the better especially in crystal clear water conditions we fish across Ontario.

Here in west central Ohio, water clarity is usually stained and various levels, occasionally muddy, and rarely clear, clear water is usually a few weeks b4 ice comes on and then same at ice off, so my colors are on a large array of the color wheel,lol
