Let me tell you the driver's side was the most challenging for me! My hand could barely fit in that little space. I highly recommend taking your time and don't panic if it takes you multiple tries to finish this task. 🙌🏽
The "lock" is on the harness itself, its similar to those clicky pens that unlock using a side button, so it you put your finger in between the lock and the body of the lamp, and push down, so its basically "out and down"
Hopefully I’ll get this done successfully. It’s bad enough they put halogen bulbs in a 2021 car, but then they have to make it as tight as possible to reach to change the bulbs
Thanks I did all my interior lights from your videos. All worked great except one map light . I pushed too hard and the housing is behind the plastic. Hyundai said its a warranty thing so that works. Headlights arrive in a few days. Again thanks
I have had the car for a month and ironically have to drive a long way to work in a rural area in the middles of the night. The halogen lights are terrible.
It’s one bulb. It’s a projector so there is a shutter that covers half of the tunnel the light comes through, then the shutter lifts up when you activate the high beam to allow more light.
@@ClubAmerica92 Very good. Just followed the video. Order parts from Amazon. Just be patient when replacing. Note, recommend adjusting lens angle after doing it. Good luck.
Thanks for the help dude! When I got to work on changing my headlights I discovered that I had a Bigfoot hand size, so I think I am going to have to remove the bumper to do it ;( tough life man
I literally just tried to do this on my 23 preferred Elantra and just couldn’t do it. I’ve got somewhat big hands so it’s almost impossible to do that driver side for me. Any tips?
@@RevTheoryWPG I got some good scratches on my wrist at the drivers side, but my hand could fit all the way down there, I think the best to do is to get someone with smaller hands to help 🥲
@@FernandoGranco i managed to get the LED bulb in, but because of how tight the area is I could t for the life of me twist it into place. I think I’m just gonna take the front wheels off and the wheel liners. I’ve seen lots of people doing it that way
@@RevTheoryWPG This side is awful, check to make sure you are putting it with the tabs on the right place, check the ones you took out to see the right way. I had more trouble twisting out the one that came with the car than the new one 😄
Hello, thanks for nice instructions. Today, I put one side in and I have a question. When I turned on light for 10 seconds, the whole SEALIGHT Scoparc 9005 bulb(bulb, box) is extremely hot, so I was scared and hold on to put in otherside. Is this normal and safe? LED bulb + wire + black unit together in the small box with cap would not cool down heat from LED.
Oh gosh I just did this and it was awful. I used to work on cell sites and everything on the top of a tower is extremely compact so I was very good with my hands in super small spaces but this one killed me. Glad it’s done. (2023 Elantra SEL here)
So these led replacements dont through up error codes or anything like that? Also, do i need to position them a certain way so other drivers are not blinded, or does the projector headlight housing make it not matter?
Thanks for tutorial, I was able to get the 2nd bulb to twist easier. Waiting for nighttime to check them out. && What did you do with the little rectangular piece attached to bulb, is it ok for it to just dangle in there or did you zip tie it to something. Maybe some double sided 3m tape would do?
I did it as shown in the video but it appears that one of the headlights aren't aligned properly. I don't remember if it was like that prior to installation, but I've confirmed that it's not a bulb issue since I w swapped them and the same side was still aimed lower. Is it possible to realign it myself and how would I do that?
Great tutorial! The drl on one side of my elantra are out. It's not the actual bulb you replaced in this video. It's the drl above that. I can't find the bulb to replace the drl! Do I need to replace the entire headlight for the drl to work again? Please help! Thank you!
Dan, when you put the LED light as shown, did it go into the desired 3 & 9 o’clock position without having to play with it, and looking at it from the front?
Hey, any tips on why I'm getting condensation inside both the headlights even though the dust caps are pretty tightly fit? I got the same bulbs in Toronto, and while they work really well, they won't seal.. Your help would be amazing..
@@taichiherov8135 I reinstalled the bulbs, properly installing them in place the 2nd time. It's been 2 years, and there's no condensation anymore. I think there was a slight gap before, that I was able to get sealed up. Didn't need any silica bags.
Is there only one way for the bulb to sit in the housing? I have a feeling when I put them in, I forgot to lock them in place? Because the are king of pointing down and not straight. I just want to mention that I tried without removing the bumper, just with my hands and it’s pretty hard to see inside the housing that way…Did you have to twist them in after they were in the hole?
Hi there, I’m having some serious trouble putting in one of the bulbs. The bulb on one side went in smoothly and was tight, but the other bulb is simply not getting set in place. It remains loose when I push it all the way in, and doesn’t respond to clockwise twisting. Could this be an issue with the bulb? It didn’t look any different than the first one I put in.
Hey bro can you humbly also do the led tail/trunk lights? You’d get a shit ton of views I’ve seen so many people requesting that vid on other peoples channels and reddit etc.
Its prob from fans of the leds. Leds usually come with mini fans attached to help cool them down while on. Since led is working harder since high beams are on it requires more energy in turn, it heats up faster so fans move faster to dissipate the heat so thats prob the noise u hear
Mine does the same thing noticed after I changed. Did you go to the mechanic to check everything okey, or that is just normal sound when you change to high beams ?
So I just got a 2022 SEL 3 days ago, tint done today too. Does anyone flash their brights at ya when the low beams are on? Just ordered some today. I'm over halogens. Didn't splurge on the Limited like my other half. 😂
