At 2.34 in video you need to use a "add on tool" as I call it ie. A special puller. Man am I glad I watched this video. I like the fact that you see the guy do it and it gives u the size socket for each step. And no annoying person or persons voice. Who ever made this needs to do it for...well everything.
Thank you for your feedback! We're glad you like our work. To see the options and choose the right puller, please go to www.autodoc.co.uk/spares-search?keyword=Ejector%2C+ball+joint AUTODOC
Thank you for your feedback! We are grateful for watching the video. According to the Regulations, it is necessary to replace the tension bolt. Best regards, Autodoc.
How did you keep the ball joint from spinning while tightening the nut back up? We used an allen wrench to hold the stud but it looks like you got it tight without it.
Thank you for your feedback! When tightening, it won't spin due to the cone on the ball joint. In another case your method can be used. Best regards, Autodoc.
Should I pull out partially the ABS wheel speed sensor in the steering knuckle to prevent it from becoming damaged as the driveaxle is withdrawn from the hub?
Thank you for your request! It is not necessary to pull out the ABS sensor since it is nearly impossible to damage it during the drive axle removal. Best Regards, Autodoc Team!
Thank you for the feedback. In this car model, each side has it's own ball joint that is being installed. There are left and right ones. Best regards, Autodoc.
While the cv axle is out of the hub, could I just pull the other end out to replace the cv axle? I have an automatic so I don't see any bolts when I looked back there.
Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, we can’t recommend any installation method, a detailed manual can be found in the service documentation for the repair of your car. Best Regards, Autodoc team

Thank you for your feedback! Probably, the corrosion started on the bolt , and you need to use a special spray, to make it easy to unscrew the car part. Best regards, Autodoc.
You Ian Jones got a BS response, ("because corosion use special spray" 😂😂) would expect more from a firm like autodoc. It is obviously not the mechanic in the vid answering haha, your comment is old, but for everyone else struggeling with the cv joint bolt (24mm 12point) use a breaker bar and steel pipe. My 450nm impact did nothing, had to use braker bar and stell pipe (my floor jack handle) and bounce on it. Broke a 24mm pipe, the second one held up.
Thank you for the feedback! You are absolutely right, the torque wrench is needed. This video is considered to be an informative one, and it shows the sequence of repairs, so some stages of the repairs might have been excluded. Best regards, Autodoc.
