Good video. I have completed the same. My only suggestion to you and what I did on a 10 speed 105 to increase to 11-34 cassette is to replace short cage rear derailleur with a medium/long cage derailleur, so gears will shift correctly.

Fyi, if your running “old” 10 speed I.e 105, ultegra- not “new” tiagra, then the shifters are compatible with 9 speed deore mtb rear mechs - opening up the possibility of some truly dinner plate size cassettes making touring up 25-30% gradients more bearable.

I climbed the Mont Ventoux in France on an 11-30 last year. It was hard! This year, I used an 11-34 and my climb was 15 minutes faster!!

It's been a year, and there are still no updates. I hope you didn't fall off your bike with the wrong long chain.

hello was there a metal washer that came with lockring ? i had one on a sram pg 1030 and im pretty shure shimano cassette has a metal washer ?

What’s the chainrings you are running? That’s also a big jump in range… you’d probably a new rear derailleur

To do it right you will need a long cage rear derailleur and a new chain.To set it up right go to your big chainring and the small cassette and get the rear derailleur to be at 6 o'clock don't worry about keeping you chain tight it will be fine if you do as I have told you to do I have built a lot of bicycles for my self and other people and have had no problem at all you are asking for trouble with the setup you have right now.I hope you get it going soon.

I have a 12 a speed ultegra 11-30, if i change to 11-34 do I need to modify or change any set up of my rd / fd? Thanks
