On this car, the upper support structure consists of a nut, a shock absorber support, a support bearing, and below is located the upper shock absorber spring gasket. In other car designs, there may be more components of the upper support such as - bushings and spacers. Manufacturers call them differently. The black spacer on top is part of the upper support.
