Thanks. Followed your video for my 2006 C180 Kompressor SE (UK model). I had to buy 9mm and 13mm hose clips as the ones on there weren't reusable. Great video. Thanks again.
Hello, thenak you for the video!. Last week I have had the fuel filter in my w203 c320 replaces. but now it next to the fuel flter I hear a dull noise , and the car does not give suddenly power when I accelerate ...... as if the fuel is not getting to the engine as it might have an obstruction...... could the mechanis have installed the tubes backwars or could the fuel filter be faulty?
Is there torque spec for the screws on the filter holder and the under body plastic cover? BTW, what's the diameter of the hoses? If I don't use the screw type hose clamp, I think the information is required.
Thanks for the video. Since I had the filter changed my car is running rough at cold start and it died on me even I had gas on the tank I just added some more fuel and it started right up. I think that the mechanic put the fuel lines from the right backward. Can that be an option ?
i had a mechanic do that to my car and also replace the maf. supposedly, i might need to chsnge the fuel pressure regulator on the engine block. but i guess it is possible that he replaced them with low quality parts or installed them incorrectly. and he was a supposed specialist. and charged me 1000$ for it. what a rip off. and it turned out later that it was my alternator that needed to be replaced. they guy solved nothing and i will never go back to him
There are 4 jacking points in these cars especially w203 Mercedes, You can see them on the frame, they should be four rubber points. You can also Put a jack right on the engine block in the front, just use rubber or a hockey Pike of the like to distribute the weight.
Hi , I just got mine replaced by a mechanic and its making a loud noise (trumpet like sound) which goes away after a few seconds. The mechanic suggests this is a bad quality filter and he is going to change it. I am wondering, is possible he forgot to take the fuse out to De-pressurise the system?
It should be.. mine's a 05 kompressor.. I'm having a massive fuel leak underneath mine and I think it might be from the fuel filter. I'm taking a look at it today
Don't forget to take lots of digital pictures before you remove that fuel filter. Those existing hoses must go back in the right location or the engine wont start. IF the hoses are in the correct location and still the car wont start, then the electrical fuel pump has gone dead. and you have to replace the fuel pump.
Bro: According to the C-240 owners manual change the fuel filter every 65K. For oil change use liqui-moly (5-40). This synthetic oil if higher quality than Mobil 1.
Next time start the car, than pull the fuel pump relay. Thatll dump the fuel from the fuel lines so gas doesn't spew out when you remove the lines. It'll keep you from damaging the fuel line ends as well so you don't have to clamp them. Car guys
@@ecologicaltime I replaced the fuel filter, cleaned the injectors, plugs and cleaned the maf sensor but still the shaking won't stop. Thanks sir for replying to my comment.
@@mu86neer this sounds like the typicla problem of the M271 Engine. Under the Compressor, there are 3 tubes, which connect the compressor with the engine. After some time these tubes are getting porous. The engine gets to much air sometimes and shakes.
@@brandonruiz9115no the filter is located on the fuel pump in my model it is under the back seat in the cabin I have a 2007 c class the 4matic is not this kind of fuel filter it’s part of the pump on my car
The older Benz made in Germany are higher quality. Don't buy a Benz is made in the USA or in south Africa there will be more maintenance mechanical/ electronic expensive repairs. A benz shop charges 400/hour. so you can do the math.
