When I removed my old one, the outside part had been sealed with silicone. I've scraped and cleaned the old silicone away. Is it necessary to seal it with silicone?

It's far from simple, even having taken all screws out mine is stuck fast, nothing budges it at all :(

Of what is the frame that holds the plate made from. I have a Canadian product with dual flaps and brushes that fit between the inner and outer flaps. That Canadian mail box has a plastic frame to hold the plate I would line to get something more sturdy. Is the Yale unit exterior part all metal (hinges and plate)?

Do you do a product where the distance between the centre of the screws is 280mm?

I don 't need to replace the whole thing, just mine just rattles in high weather I can't seem to tighten it anywhere?
