L hand often obscures what R hand is doing throughout. However we now know what the valve looks like & how to check it. Anyone know when the Serpentine Belt should be changed on a 1.6 Automatic 2013 model please?

Por seguro llevalo a un mecanico de confianza para que lo examine. Mas que seguro es algo simple pero cuando se trata de algo con la transmision es mejor estar seguro que arrepentido

How many miles on your car? Sounds like some maintenance has been skipped. The P0172 code means the engine is running too rich which can be for many reasons. For starters you should check your engine air filter and if you haven't changed it out in the past 15k to 30k miles then just go ahead and change it. Then you should perform a complete fuel system and injector cleaning, either professionally (pricey) or do a highway run with a full tank of premium gasoline and 1 bottle of fuel system cleaner such as Duralube Severe Fuel System Cleaners, Red Line Complete or Royal Purple Max Clean and then drive at highway speed until you've gone through the entire tank of fuel. Your car will appreciate the cleaning no matter what. Then fill up your tank again with just regular grade gasoline and and add another bottle of which ever fuel system cleaner you choose and then just drive normally as you would, this tank full doesn't have to be highway. That will help clean up more of the varnish that got missed by the first bottle. Next check your spark plugs (you can also do this as a first step if you prefer) because you have been running rich there may be an issue with the plugs at this point. lf they need to be changed then replace them preferably with NGK lridium plugs or NGK laser cut lridium. After you have done the above steps continue to monitor your car for the next few weeks, the engine code might go turn off by itself in which case it means the issue has been resolved. lf the light stays on for several weeks after you have done all of the above then you can start trouble shooting specific components which are mentioned in the Suzuki owners manual for trouble shooting a rich fuel mix problem. All of these components are easy to change or clean so shouldn't be much of a problem. ln the future make sure you stay ahead on your maintenance of things like air filter, fuel system, plugs, engine cleaning. Neglecting those things will eventually lead to codes like the one you got and also can prematurely cause your catalytic converter to have issues.

I sold it 2 years ago never buying a susuki ever again....after spending almost 2k in repairs it keeps asking for more.

@@jeiryasuth Very strange, maybe it was a lemon. l have owned 9 Suzuki's over the past 25 years and they all have been flawless, never any engine/transmission issues. My old Suzuki Esteem (Baleno in other countries) now has 423,000 miles and still runs absolutely perfect. My Grand Vitara XL7 has 280,000 miles, no repairs required ever, just normal maintenance. Both of my current SX4's also have never needed any repairs and run perfect. But l also do ALL regular maintenance on my vehicles when it is supposed to be done. What year was your car and what country are you in? Did you buy it new or used?

I’m thinking about trying this on my moms 2005 Suzuki Reno.. 2 questions if you happen to see this- 1. Do you know if it’s the same process for the 05? & 2. What was the first can of spray you used?

The Reno is not actually a Suzuki car. Back when GM and Suzuki were partners GM forced Suzuki to sell several different Daewoo brand vehicles (GM owns Daewoo) as part of an ongoing alliance between GM and Suzuki. The point here being the Reno shares practically nothing common with genuine Suzuki cars so your best bet for maintenance and repair of your Daewoo Lacetti (real name of the "Reno") is to search for videos that deal specifically with the Reno or Daewoo Lacetti.
