This video might be a little too detailed but it outlines issues that you can run into when putting everything back together. Go to the 9:30 point to see the seal change out.

These instructional videos you have on axles are well put together, thought out and details are clear and easy to understand. Really appreciate them. Do you have a install of video of a powertrax grip pro by any chance ? I'm getting one for Christmas this year and not a whole lot of install videos with comprehensive installations.

Maybe a stupid question. How do you know if your rear uses shims or a crush sleeve if I've never removed the chunk before.?

It's based on the axle. What kind of axle, front or rear, and what year?

@TheBFHGarage I did More research and then watched your video and figured it out. Dodge 8 3/4 rear with 741 chunk is spacers. I think the 489 chunk has crush sleeve. But thanks for replying. I really didn't expect 1.

Does the D44 on a TJ Rubicon use a crush sleeve? Is there a way for me to tell without pulling the carrier?

If I use a new crush sleeve, will I have to pull the axles to set the pre-load correctly?

Thank you for persisting in doing such high quality work! May I ask which model impact driver you are using? I use a very heavy duty Milwaukee at work . It is great but, very cumbersome. Yours looks to be smaller but it clearly has adequate power.
