Great question... I would pick a category that best fits your overall content. What content do you like creating the most of or you create the most of. What category does that fit into..? Pick that as not having a category may work against you.

This is not correct. You are just changing the default upload category, but not the channel type. My default upload category is gaming, but my channel type is music. I’m trying to change my channel type.

In fact, I thought that a channel WAS featured for a category but I guess it is not like that? meaning that the videos belong to categories but not the channel itself? Hi David. Thanks for the video. So I have 2 questions: This channel I'm writing from is Meditation Music/VIdeo channel. I didn't know which category to use and ended up going with Entertainment. No idea what other one would have fit.... I have Tubebuddy but not sure if there's a way to see what other channel's choose for their category? Also, I just made a new channel which is my name (personal brand), and I plan on offering general information about health, diet, lifestyle and wellbeing in general. Not quite sure which category to choose because in a way I'm trying to educate people, but because I"m discussing health related topics and not a doctor, it's for entertainment purposes. But I might do how to's... might do lifestyle videos. So hard to pick just one. I'm trying to figure out how to check on a few other channel's of people who have similar channels where their niche is mostly health and lifestyle. There's no "health" category.... Thanks!
