Select the cell or cells where you want to apply a style. Then on the home tab click on the cell styles button HERE.
As you can see there are some predesigned styles sorted by categories. Just hover your mouse over the style you want to try and you will see a preview of how it looks. Click on the style you want to apply and that’s it!
If you want to create your own style, you can do it. To do it click again on the cell styles button and select the new cell style option. A new window is opened. In the style name field, type the name you want. Next check or uncheck the styles you want to apply. To use a specific color or create a gradient, click on the format button. A new window is opened. Here you can choose a specific font, a border or create a gradient among other things.
Now let's see how to create a gradient. Click on the fill tab, then click on the fill effects button. Now select the two colors you want and the shading styles you want to use then click ok. The next time you click on the cell style button you will see your custom style you just created. Wow nice!
