i'm trying to replace the bulb on the passenger side, for the life i can't get the bulb out.. any tips ? i try to turn towards the engine but nothing happens, doesn't move one millimeter
So I ended up breaking the grey part trying to turn it so I could replace the bulb unit. The wires are not connected to anything anymore. Any suggestions on what to do?
You can use an LED bulb but you may need to use the load resistors in order to cancel out headlight error message on your dash. Basically, headlight load resistors tricks the car thinking that there’s a halogen bulb missing. You only need to use load resistors when you’re using aftermarket light bulbs instead of your factory bulbs on your car. You could go without the load resistors but you’ll get an bulb out error message on your dash.
I used load resistors when I switched from factory halogens to H7 LEDs on my 2008 BMW 528i. I did the low beams, high beams, and fog lights. Made a big difference in terms of brightness switching to LEDs. I got my headlights installed at Audioshack in San Diego, CA. They use good quality light bulbs/equipment at a decent price.
