Nice video though why didn't you open the extreme front chamber drain nut. It is essential as 100-150 ml of left over oil stays in this portion of the chamber which is only drainable from that nut.
Thank you boss. I also own the same bike with same colour. I was afraid to change the engine oil on my own before, but after watching your video, I will give a try next time.
Thank You Sir for this informative video. Very well explained. Easy to understand. I'm sure your video will benefit many royalenfield fans. Thanks again
Dear Life the journey! Thanks a lot for uploading this comprehensive video. After watching this video, I tried to change the engine oil myself. I did it. It feels really good to be self reliant. Keep doing such informative videos!! And please do share a video about how to adjust the chain play on a Thunderbird 350.. It would really be appreciated. Thank you.
I am an owner of Yamaha FZ V2 . I have been using MOTUL 3000 4T plus 20w40 mineral grade oil on my bike . The performance is better than that of recommend engine oil AKA yamalube mineral . Heating is reduced and engine becomes pretty smooth with this oil . It exceeds the requirements demanded by the manufacturer The minimum requirements are API SJ and JASO MA Whereas MOTUL's rating are as follows API SM JASO MA2 . So guies who ride FZ V2 just dump the yamalube , go for this oil and feel the difference
Thanks bro for the video... Kuch suggestions chahiye mujhe aapse..bataiye ga bhaiya please
Excellent video! One more thing: after you change the oil leave the bike in idle for about 10 minutes so that the new oil spreads around the moving parts of the engine. Also you could try adding an oil additive when you do the oil change. There are a few good brands of additive like 3M
2 questions please: 1. Is the same volume of engine oil neededfor 500 cc Thunderbird also? 2. Do i need to always change my top oil filter while changing engine oil??
There is a bolt in the opposite side of the engine, what if I put my engine oil through that? Is there anything to worry about? My local mechanic did that.
That is not the proper way, oil will not get filtered. At the time of changing the E oil, oil has be gone through the filtration process, that's why each time of E oil change we also change the filter.
hello bro loved ur video it was really informative...thanx for sharing n keep up d good work bro i know u may b aware of one imp point but may have forget to include in this video...there is one more drain nut located to d front n it holds up to 200 ml to 250 ml of engine oil so only if u unscrew all three drain nuts than only complete engine oil is drained out or else new oil gets contaminated with old oil left in this chamber...mechanics usually do not open third drain nut n will never share this with u becoz he saves 200 ml to 300 ml new oil n will only refill with 2200 ml of new oil...for more info on RE i would suggest that watch this you tube channel ncrmotorcycles, i suppose u may have heard if not just watch his videos once i bet u will end up subscribing his channel...since u r an RE owner u will definitely get helpful tips n this guy is really very helpful
Bhai please reply as soon as you see this comment. As some people pointed out that you didn't open the third bolt and you replied to someone that if one opens that bolt(third one) then one has to use 2.75 litres of oil. However, on OWNERS MANUAL its recommended that 2.75 litres of oil should be used in the FIRST FILL ONLY and in the subsequent fills one has to use 2.30-2.50 litres of engine oil. Please confirm, if i open the third bolt(the one u didn't open) then how much engine oil i have to use ? P.s: it's morning now, I will be changing oil in the afternoon,so it will be very much appreciated if you can reply as soon you see my comment. Thank you.
Excellent video sir ji. detailed explanation and Super clarity. I have a question . I own a thunderbird 500. Is the process same for thunderbird 500. if yes how much litre of oil should i buy and can i use the same motul brand
Yes same process, Oil - 2.5L Yes you can use Same brand Same Grade (Viscosity) or you can upgrade to higher Grade (Viscosity), but don't decrease the Grade (Viscosity) ever.
@@lifethejourney9423 Sir, i searched for the same engine oil in amazon. the same 4t 3000 15w50 is available.2.5 l for rs 769. but that yellow sticker recommending it for re bikes was not present. when u bought that, was that yellow sticker given by the manufacturer or is it the shop from where u bought pasted that sticker
Yes you can, but If you'll do so, you need to pour exact 2.75 ltr engine oil again (as clutch hub will get total dry), and in that case you need to buy 3 ltr quality.
Brother you made a nice video but why didn’t you opened the 12 mm nut in the front of the engine and it’s a oil filter every time you said air filter and you should have also changed the 19 mm washer
@@lifethejourney9423 Thanks cause i have same bike as ypurs and same colour as well and i am facing issures with rust and it all gets collected in carburettor so again and again it is creating a mess for me you know sometimes petrol leakage problem and day before yesterday my bikes stopped in the midway like it has no petrol Please let me know How to get rid of this problem And thanks for replying so soon Friend 👍🏻
