Why do you Unscrew the engine solenoid valve bracket before working on the brakes/replacing a rotor (disc)? I have a Jetta MK6.

Because the brake fluid resevor is under it on this model for some stupid reason.

You should absolutely not use any grease between the hub and the disc. Surface should be cleaned and shiny
