We couldn't get ours out. The official LG video shows to twist it. Nope, won't twist. This video shows the real secret, lower the cartridge all the way and pull straight. Many thanks, Fixer!
I also have an LG refrigerator and have been shutting off my supply side before changing filters. Nice to know I really don't need to do that. I really don't remember getting a bypass unit to bypass the filter. I wish I had that frankly because I'm feeding the refrigerator with perfectly clean water from my reverse osmosis system. I have to see about getting one of those. Thanks for the tip!
Thank you so much for this video! I was having trouble with the reset, finally tried this, stop pressing when circle appears (after chime) then press again. Whew, no more filter warning lights.
Seriously was trying to figure out what did I not do, I didn't flush the dirty water out, a d stupid me i4got to reset so thanks very much big to u watching from jamaican big up urself.
Thanks so much! I'm so irritated because the manual mentions two filters. I overlooked it and I didn't realize I ordered the wrong type. (I bought this model, too) My fault, but by the time I tried to install it, I couldn't return it, so Amazon basically got a $50 donation. Funny, I watched the video about your dishwasher and we have the same dishwasher, too except mine is a slightly different model -- maybe a bit of an upgrade-- so maybe those issues are addressed? Here's hoping. I'm a single guy, living alone and don't use it as much anyway. We'll see...
WARNING: I have a LG model # LFDS22520S. The filter is top left. If your filter is like mine DO NOT TWIST OFF or you'll break the housing like I almost did! You have to pull it straight out to remove and push straight in to install. When you install, just be sure to line up the two tabs at 3 & 9 o'clock.
I have rhe same refrigerator. LG replacement filter for ADQ360061 on AMAZON a pack of 2 is $100...The exact same filter from ICEPURE part # RWF1200A for a pack of 3 for $39 from AMAZON.
