How To: Change Light Bulbs in Vx/Vt Commodore

you do understand the 4000k is the bandwidth of the light, not the candlepower of the bulb? The bulb is probably a standard 60/55 watt high low unit.

I managed to pull out the difficult PASSENGER SIDE PARK LIGHTout by hooking the lamp holder with a cut up coathanger wire bent into shape and with a v shaped hook on the end. (used an angled mirror to see it) When I replaced the globe with the NEW LED type ones, They are a tight push in fit in the holder and I found the LED TYPE GLOBES only work oriented 1 way (Test it while it is hanging out, If it doesn't work orient it the other way) I left the park light ON while installing because it helped light up the lamp hole from the rear, then you can observe the globe enter through the glass front of the headlight while you blindly push the globe holder in with your fingers from the rear. Hope this helps!

None of the videos answered my question about removing that indicator bulb, which I asked for, only showed me how to change the front headlight and not the indicator.....

Good video but as for these bulbs... do you know what I hate? Driving home from work late at night and here comes another f**k stick with 4 or 5 thousand candle power lights half blinding me and piercing my skull. Why do you need such bright lights? I'll tell you: 1, a false sense of safety and 2, so you can say "whoa look how bright my lights are!!" Stupid and a little dangerous. You don't need to see up an owl's nose to drive safely and well dude.

Better have a whinge to the ADR then, those BlueVision globes he installs in this video are completely street legal in Australia. What false sense of safety do you get from being able to see more at night? Any advantage to seeing an object you may need to avoid is a good advantage, especially if you're driving at 100 / 110kph. Your anger really should be directed towards people who just don't have their headlights aligned properly, but don't let that get in the way of a good old hissy fit.
