Thank you. You don't need to copy the hex code. There's a quicker method. Put the mouse pointer over Base Color box and copy (Ctrl C) the color. Then paste (Ctrl V) the color into the other Color box. You can also drag and drop the color but it's a little difficult in this case. :)
You can change the solid view settings from Studio to Flat, change colors to Random, turn on shadows and cavities. You now have very pretty and very practical solid view mode, without having to change the viewport color everytime manually.
Even though I already knew this, the viewport display color is still not showing for me. I searched my way here but found no answer I need, sadly. After looking through the ui for quite a while, I finally found out that you have to also enable the color -> object in the viewport shading drop down panel (where you select the MatCap). Hope this information helps those who're having the same issue as me. (Interestingly, this setting is by default on color -> material, but it's not showing the material I assign to the object, instead it's only showing the MatCap material color. That confusing setting can use some improvement.)
Since the wording confused me for a minute here is what you do. On the top right of the viewport where you can change the render modes between render, solid, material , wireframe. Click the little arrow next to those balls and then in the middle menu that says Color change it to material.
@@ICE0124 That's right, thanks. I did explain it really poorly. In fact, my explanation was plain WRONG, lol. Because I think at that time I was looking at the viewport display setting in the object tab, not in the material tab.
FASTER COPY OF COLOR 1-HOVER MOUSE to object color - CTRL+C (copy) 2-now HOVER MOUSE to viewport color - CTRL+V (paste the copied color from Object Color)
What if I want a skydome with the viewport lighting? I just added noise to a hollow sphere, and I like how the viewport shades. So I was wondering how I could get the skydome to appear there?
I have a question maybe you know the answer to... under the View... Viewport Render Image menu, is there any way to get printer friendly colors for CAD printouts of mechanical models? I want a white background, but the object lines to be blue or black. Is this possible in the viewport render option?
hi i imported obj file in blender, m able to change color of all material in blender except ew polymer like objects(no face), polymer chains are very thin hairy like objects in my file and they are all black in color no matter what i do. they hide when i turn off overlay button. plz tell me how to change color of these hairy polymer chain in blender in obj file
I used to use the same technic but for some reason I have imported some model that always look pink or some other color that doesn't change the color using the same method, any idea?
