Our T&C 6 cylinder 3.8L engine uses a 1/2 socket for the oil plug to the pan. Oil filter is a small cap that fit’s on the end of the old filter and uses your socket on end for removal. 5W-20 oil. I have been using Penzoil High Mileage Full Synthetic Oil (not the natural gas version) and it has worked well on our 2010 T&C with 129,00+ now. Before putting on the new oil filter do please put your finger in the new oil and coat the rubber seal. This will allow for easier removal the next time. Also only hand tighten the oil filter, twist until you cannot move it any more. If you use a tool to tighten you risk a very difficult oil filter removal on your next oil change, it will vibrate tighten during your travels. When you change your oil filter and oil, should take 5 qt of oil on the refill. Yes, we do use the T&C for hauling as well, however only when needed since don’t have a pickup. The Chrysler mini-van with all the seats down can fit a full sheet of plywood, I have done it and the hatch is closed. Nice video, well done!

Should write the size of the wrench you need for the drain plug also :-) Better than a truck until you need to borrow the neighbors truck

Does Kirland oil taste the same, Pete? You gotta get Rob on here as a special guest.

Only got to sample the one but I’m going to assume it’s the same. Yes, I need to come up for something good with Bobby. Maybe I’ll have him install a trailer receiver hitch ;)

Is there any sort of washer/crush washer for the drain plug?

All those use oil and the factory says its normal , I started putting 5 ×30 and the next time I'm going 10 × 30

I did hear that too. I thought oil use wasn’t common. My wife’s KIA burns a bunch and it started at 70,000 miles, which seems early to me.

@Hammer Hay it'd crazy mine now uses 2qt per change and I saw somewhere that Chrysler said that's normal , so last night I changed to 10×30 to see if it helps , bc they went to the light oil for gas mileage and if you look up the beatings, crank and other stuff for that motor , they call for the exact same part number from these models to the late 80's or early 90's and those days it was 30wt oil.
