User manual and removed filter airflow arrow is up, not down. 2007 tundra. Might be why the cover has an up arrow. Best way to know if you are doing it right is to get in them books.
Lmao the arrow on the lid is showing you which direction the airflow goes so you can match it to the arrow on the filter. The fact that there’s a locking lever you have to push out of the way to pop the lid off tells you which way the lid goes lol I don’t think you need a locking clip on one side PLUS an arrow to show you how to put the lid back on. The lid is literally showing you the direction of the airflows so somebody like you does not fuck up putting the filter in like you did. 😂😂😂😂😂 the arrow is literally for people like you, but you still couldn’t figure it out. I’m truly blown away. The video started out so good.
@@DIYJIM It does get ridiculous about quoted repair prices. I had two burned out rear license plate bulbs that they identified on a checkout at oil change and gave a $35 estimate to replace them. With the help of a good RU-vid vid it took me about ten minutes total to replace. Bulbs cost about $3-4 for two.
The only problem here is that you have installed the filter upside down. The flow comes from the bottom and out the top - that's why both the filter and the filter cassette cover show an arrow pointed up. If you can't get this right you shouldn't be doing how-to videos.
@@kevingurall5555 thanks for watching but I do not agree. Maybe if I bought a toyota cabin air filter the arrow would point up. But the air flows down. Take out your dirty filter and pay attention which side is dirtiest. I bet it is the topside that means the air comes from the top. Thanks for watching
@@DIYJIM Agreed. For Toyota's the incoming air is from the intake below the windshield and just above the filter. When you remove the filters the topside is the dirty side. For Camry's and Tundra for sure. The arrow on the plastic cover is for installing the cover. Looking at a new filter I'm hard pressed to see any difference between incoming and outgoing air. I think it would still work either way. There are probably many thousands of cars on the road now with them backwards!
Great video sir! Quick question. Do u have a list of recommended snowblowers? I'm planning on buying my first one and i need a lil help on that end. Thanks again.
