I gor the old one out easily, using the rubber suction tool that came with the hood helped. I can't get the new bulb in. Been at it on and off for 2 days now. I am about ready to have a different kind of hood with different kind of lights installed. It may be worth the price to avoid this aggrivation.

@@CJsINFO I know its the correct bulb because before he passed away my husband replaced the other bulb. This is from the same package, and is identical to the one i removed.

@@CJsINFO finally got it in. Took about 15 tries over a 2 day period. They don't give much room to wiggle it in those 2 little holes. I can't believe there wasn't a better way to design these....

So, going from a 3watt bulb to an led 5 watt is fine in the hood? We've been trying to figure out what bulb to get in this hood.

Is it possible to install the bulbs too tightly? We have tried and tried to loosen one using a glove and after ckeaning the bulb, but it will not budge at all. Could the installer of the range hood have put it in too tightly?

how do you get the spring wire clips off? The hood in the video doesn't have any

*Hey Nick. You Must Have An Older Model or Different Type. What I Would Do Is Go From The Inside If You Can. Remove The 2 Vents on The Top or 1 If You Have, Then Try To Loosen or Undo The Wire Clasps From The Inside Instead of The Outside*

@@CJsINFO Yep seems to have bulb "sockets" with cables running to them but not attached to anything else but the bulb. I think the bulb is being held in place on the panel by this C shaped clip at the wide end of the bulb. Still haven't found a way of getting it off yet!

Any tips for when the replacement bulb simply won't turn -- they are so recessed there is nothing to grab onto to and too smooth to just do it with fingertip friction/pressure -- Pretty much exactly the opposite of this video.

*Make Sure To Wipe The Bulb Clean. Then Use Dishwasher Rubber Gloves 🧤 and Try To Turn It Counter Clockwise. You Can Also Try To Loosen Any Grime Around The Bulb With A Thin Flat Head*

I had a new bench put in so I got the electrician to change one of my lights as it had died but the light was cool and the one I already have is warm so I bought another cool and the warm is cracked as it is so I just need to unscrew it and put the new one in but I cant get it out and I really dont want to hire someone for just a minor job lol
