In this tutorial video I show you how to access and replace the front fog light H3 bulb on a Saab 9-3SS 2003 on.
The bulbs are halogen H3 55W. There are also plenty of LEd conversions available
Making these videos is a “passion” for me. I’m using my 35+ years as an automotive engineer and car maintenance DIYer to make them.

This is my next project on my '08 9-3 2.0t. I just replaced the passenger side headlight housing, which is an EASY job despite having to drop the front end of the car. Took all of 40 minutes, and that's with a phone call in the middle. Great detailed video, thanks as always!

Great Vid and thanks for sharing this useful information about the FL. I had to change them about a year ago and had it done by the garage where I bought my 9-3 SC. Paid 145CHF!!! Now will buy two to change them myself for 8CHF!!

Hello, thanks for the very informative video! I had already read the owner's manual which describes the procedure, but it is much better to see that on video! I have order some LED replacements (very nice yellow-gold light) but I just noticed that they are rated as 80W instead of the factory Halogen 55W. Do you believe I am going to have any issue with that? Like LED bad cooling, melting cables or burn the fuse? I noticed that the correspondig fuse is 30A but it includes the low & high beam front lights (there is one 30A fuse for each side). My front lights are factory Xenon. I own a 2005 9.3 model.

Normally LED bulbs don't work very well on these cars. I only had luck with the parking lights, but even then they flash for a couple minutes after the engine off. I have a 2004 9-3 Aero model. I'd recommend you stick with halogen, you can easily find them at Amazon or any auto parts store...

Hello, i have Saab 9-3 arc without front fog lights, do you think I can install them? Or do I need to buy wires and activate them with tech2??

What is that cable you push out of the way at 1:40 because mine is not plugged into anything..

Sorry matey, but I don't know for sure, but it could be for the horn. My 9-3 has two horns, one behind the grille and one in the right wheel arch behind the arch liner (daft place for a horn if you ask me).

That could very well be because the horn has never worked on my car since I bought it...

Hello. I have a 2006 Saab 93 that didn't came with the from fog lights. However I bought a pair and the harness loom and changed the switch. I do not know where I need to add the relay. Would you have any idea. Thanks 👍

Everything you need should already be fitted from factory except for the foglight housing

@@LaykaScania No you need to activate it with a tech 2 and you need a new light switch aswell

Yes, if your filament has blown you will need new bulbs. You can get worldwide delivery from here bit.ly/2Kvnpr8 select H3 type for fog lights, H7 for headlights.
