📺 ... This is actually quite good.. I like the option to change stuff quickly, however why has the channel edit/move been removed from Samsung user choices.. Great video here and very easy to follow and understand. Thank You #TweakTips 👍😄👍 ... 📺
I already edit my favorites lists without any out source apps.. Simply long press on left silver button (the one for changing channels).. a new list of channels appear and list of empty favorites list in which you can add as you like to it.... Enjoy.
Brilliant, thanks for that! Although my tv doesn't allow me to reorder or edit name/number of the channels, by creating a list in Favourites I am now able to browse through channels in the order I want!
Quick Q - i keep having to import the channel list from the USB stick. Should I need to do this every time or is there a way to lock it in (and be able to remove the USB stick)?
@@Emilx82 THANK YOU - I couldn't figure why dafuq a few hours after my import from the usb they got all messed up again! Seriously the TV is great, but the missing rearange option is just retarded imo...
If I do this the next time my TV will update automatically the channel list will it reset it to default order or will it stay as I set it? Do I need to turn off automatic channel list updates?
@@TweakTips until you upload the file, then you just get a "The server returned a "500 Internal Server Error" just got a new TV and the channels all over the place, and it's driving me crazy
Dude after the first switching off and turning on the settings on the channels reseted... how can i stop it? I havent did anything difference i installed new channels then it did my list and now its the same like before

Thanks for the video. I used Samchan but it has just downloaded the file as a normal file not a zip and then I try to import into my Q80t it does not recognise it. Any ideas would be appreciated?
@@TweakTips hi, I had downloaded as a normal folder on my Mac. Do I need to format my memory stick prior to using it? Should I compress the folder to a zip folder? Like how it comes off the tv.
Cannot get it to work on my 2018 Samsung series 6 Tv......keeps saying zip file not recognised....any ideas, there is no renumber tab, rename is greyed out
" Oops! An Error Occurred The server returned a "500 Internal Server Error". Something is broken. Please let us know what you were doing when this error occurred. We will fix it as soon as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. " It still works?
it,s ridiculous that samsung "Smart" tvs dont have sorting or name search option , really ridiculous , i will never buy a Samsung tv again (i have tu8000 right now)
THAT WAS GREAT I DID NOT WANT TO DO WHAT YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT PUT I COULD NOT DELETE CHANNELS NOW I CAN SEE HOW ITS DONE TOP JOB. EASY EASY EASY EASY EASY EASY EASY + + + + + + + + + + + + + +
WTF!! This is just broken. Just bought the Q70T as it was on special discount (halv price(!)). I'm not a fan of the interface. Should probably have bought an LG or Philips instead. Oh well.. Thanks anyway :)
@@HifiCentret I bought one 4 weeks ago and it kept turning itself off, sometimes after 10 minutes, sometimes after 30 minutes and so on.. We returned it back to Currys and swapped it for another one. The new one started doing exactly the same after a few days.. It had nothing to do with sleep timer or energy saving. It is a fault LG TVs have. Upon seraching Google.. Some fixes were to give it a wack on the back but thats not what you're supposed to do with TVs in 2020 :-) Hence the reason i am on here because we decided to go with a Samsung instead but the new Samsungs wont allow you to edit channels. This video fixed our issue :-)
@@DeanoEssex Sound like a bad batch. Really all major manufacturers have had their share of bad products. Samsung exploding phones and even washing machines (yes washing maching "exploding" although not in the same sense as their phones). I found out you actually can change channel order on remote. Press and hold the channel rocker (or guide button if using an older IR remote) and then you get the option of editing channels. Far easier than having to up and download a list of channels. I've decided to keeps the order of the channels that cable supplier devices it's easier but deleting those channels that are encrypted as they're just spam (I don't pay for them). Also since I found out that you change channel using google home via voice it's not much that I'm using the remote. A routine with channel name and the routine asks the TV to set the channel number - very convinient once set up. However the fact that it's so well hidding that it's not even mentioned how to manage channels in the user manual IS JUST PURE BROKEN AND REALLY REALLY BAD UI & USER MANUAL !!!
@@DeanoEssex And yes as you've just read I'm using the older style IR remote. Just a cheap third party 1:1 clone. I find it way better than that limited bluetooth remote. I like reading the news on Text-TV (may not be a concept everywhere in the world) in the morning both reading and watching the news while eating breakfast. Navigating TTV using the "smart" remote is really cumbersome and time consuming. The older style remote is just much better suited for that - simply fast and easy and all the button are there - no need to navigate a virtual keyboard using a D-pad. On top many other functions is just much faster accesed as it has buttons for those. And if going for a channel directly you can just press the number instead of endless rocking if the channel you want to see is far from the one you're watching now. The new remote might be high end and luxurious feeling compared to the older "80s feel" IR remotes but IMHO it's a classic example of design over function to such an extend that it is severely affecting the UI and useability of the product.
