WONDERING HOW TO CHANGE THE BACKGROUND COLOUR OF AN INDEX PAGE IN SQUARESPACE?
It's a really popular look right now to have an index in which various pages have different background colours; either to break the long scrolling page up or to call attention to a particular section.
As you can see, changing the background colour settings in DESIGN - STYLE EDITOR applies the change to every page.
But how can you go about achieving this look, if Squarespace won't let you change each index page's background colour one-by-one?
Two lines. That's it. It's honestly got to be the easy little bit of CSS there is.

Helpful indeed, I was using a tiny 2x2px PNG so it wasn't too bad as I wasn't using overlays but I much prefer the CSS method. It would have been nice if you included how you knew the class that you targeted, I think it was a class because it started with a dot but there are other videos on youtube that show that. Thanks so much!

Not enough to make any difference. All websites are using CSS, including your Squarespace website even if you don't add any in.

I notice your popular post has no huge space in between the images and text. Was that made of summary grid blocks/gallery blocks or it's css coded? :)
