This is by far the simplest explanation I've found. I've had to replace my band 4 or 5 times (they wear out and break), and some channels are so long-winded, and pushing their "repair kits", and after 3 or 4 minutes of this, they finally show you what to do. Yours is simple and to the point. Really appreciate it!
After hours trying to remove the band on my fitbit watch with no luck, I watched your video and had the old band off and the new one fitted BRILLIANT! Thank you so much!
Thanks. I struggled to work it out for myself for a few minutes but then decided to watch your video. A very clear and patient description of every step. My strap had broken so it was important to change it.
I'd had a problem with my band a few months ago. The magnet pulled off when I was struggling to retrieve something behind my washing machine. A week later I finally found both magnet and the tiny gasket holding it in place. Bought a spare in case it happened again. It didn't but I decided to have a change. This video makes it so easy! Thanks so much.
Thank you so much! My band is damaged on the buckle side. I thought I had to buy a whole new FitBit. I just ordered a new 3 pack set from Amazon. Your instructions are so clear, and the replies from viewers, helped me realize that I need only a new band. Thank you again!
Thanks, Tech Guru! My Fitbit Charge 2 band had broken, and I was struggling to put on the new one -- until I found your clear, short tutorial. Problem solved!
This video helped me to remove and replace band, which is a very very easy process. Now that I know how, for the life of me I can't figure out why this video wasn't 20 seconds long, which is long enough to show the back of the watch and the clip to push. Thanks for the way-longer-than-it-needs-to-be video.....
This video was extremely helpful and easy to follow. The little band that holds your straps together broke on mine. I didn't want to spend the money because the straps weren't broken but I finally did and am happy with the change in color.
Thank you so much! This was extremely helpful and easy to follow. My original band stretched to the point where it work keep popping off - so frustrating. This has also happened to several of my friends. It's great to have replacement bands in various styles and colours which I can now change over whenever I need to - thanks again for the video.
One day I will learn how to change this myself instead of coming to your channel to change my bands which I often do. I bought a pack of 12 so that I could wear a different color every day or so so I always pay you a visit and you make it so so easy thanks again...I've been here about ten times...duh...lol
Thanks for this easy to follow video with verbal instructions. This is the second time, I have had to replace a broken band and both times, I turned to this video to help me remember how to do it.
Hi Tech Gurus! I changed my FitBit band within 30 seconds WHILE watching this video. It was very very easy once you showed me how. I decided to change to a bright coral color for the springtime. Thank you!!
Thank you so much! I can normally do it without any trouble but struggled this time, your description in this video solved it for me - really appreciate it!
After watching two other videos that did a horrible job of explaining the steps, I finally found clear step by step directions! Thank you! The metal part of my original band broke. Thanks!
I watched several videos on this topic. Yours was by far the clearest and easiest to follow, and the only one to include installing the new band so that it was oriented correctly on your wrist. Thank you!
Thank you for the assistance Tech Guru! Completed the process before the video ended. A girl needs fashion options...just purchased 6 different bands...solids, florals, abstract prints. Needed a bit of fun as I attempt to get those 10,000 steps in each day.
Thank you so much for making this video--it was extremely useful! That was amazingly simple and well done! I am changing my band to a smaller sized one because I lost 100 lbs using the device and the large band was falling off.
Thank you for making it short and sweet. I had to replace my band because when I was carrying heavy grocery bags sitting on my wrist it basically broke the buckle part of the band. I had a black one so this time I ordered a replacement white one. Thanks again.
Thank you for the informative video. After trying to find some instructions to change the band, I finally found your video. Thanks for the explicit instructions. I changed the band immediately no problem!
Thanks for taking the time in making this video. I received my Charger II as a gift 3 years ago because my brother knew I ought to lose weight. I went and bought a mesh gold tone bracelet to replace the original one. The mesh one just broken. Had you not made this video available I probably would have broken the FitBit attempting to replace the original band. This underscores just how global we are today. Here I am in the state of confusion - broke band in New York, New York and there you are some where I guess in the British Isles providing advice and direction to a FitBit challenge NYer. Thanks again "mate"you saved the day.
Thanks for very clear and concise info on changing Fitbit Charge 2 strap. The loop securing the strap closed had broken on mine so had to replace the strap.
Thanks Tech Guru. jus what I needed to know! It's now a old model of fitbit but still functional! got new straps, different colours for diff look. Easy to get on, trick to get off! Keep doing what you do. There's always someone who wants to know! Thanks from the bottom of the world, New Zealand.
Yup, I still have the Charge 2 and this helped - I had to get a replacement charger because the old strap broke off during a storage run and god knows where the charger itself disappeared to. Thank you.
You're a life saver. I accidently pulled one end of the band off and had no idea how to replace it. I was afraid I had broken it. I would also enjoy a briefing on the setup and apps usage of the Charge 2.
Thank you! Just wanted a change. Have had the blue one for quite some time, switched it to purple. It was a much easier procedure than I had anticipated.
Thank you for the video. One of the straps kept coming off my fitbit, so I bought a new band and I was worried I would damage something while removing the other strap and fitting the new band. This video was very clear and easy to follow - my new band is fitted with no issue.
I love my Fitbit 2, have had it 4 years now and have had 3-4 bands. Your video is saved in my account because it is easy to follow, short and to the point. Thank you!!
Thank you, it was very helpful. My watchband had broken and I had to wait several days to get a new one. I am so used to wearing it - really missed it. These tech videos are great!
Thanks for this demo. I’m on my 5th band since 2018. I always reference your site when I need to change a broken band. Old one off - new one on successfully this evening.
Thank you so such for the ez instructions. Was able to replace orignial band without worrying that I would damage the replacement band. Built my confidence!
My old band was plastic, and made my arm itchy and break out. I just got this leather one in the mail with no instructions! 😳 Your video helped me change it out, in seconds!! Thank you so much!!
Thank you for this. This would be the 2nd time I've replaced the band over the 6 years I've had my fitbit. The last one was starting to peel away. Really helpful vid. Thanks again 👍
This was a really tricky removal but with your how-to video I was able to take the old one of and put the new won on without worrying about damaging the Fit Bit. Thanks!
Thank you for the easy straightforward instructions. I am waiting for a warranty replacement but feel confident that I can do this, if there isn't something broken in the mechanism.
Thank you. Easy to follow. Had to replace the band because the little circle on the buckle side that clips onto the side with the holes (after several years and minor tape repairs) finally had one to many cracks and could no longer be repaired.
I just placed my third band onto my Fitbit charge 2 watch. The bands break at the one end ( the buckle part). This last band lasted 2 days short of a year. I ordered two from GOSTRAPS and am very happy with them. They took almost a month to arrive from China, but they were on sale plus 15% off for my first order. They carry size small and a huge array of colors too. Thank you for your informative video!
Thanks so much for the How-To video, TG. I knew it was straight forward because I had to change the band more than 1 year ago. However, when I looked at the clasps I couldn't remember how to open them. I knew if I used a screwdriver and tried to open a clasp the wrong way, I could do serious damage to it. I was very happy to find your video as you made it especially for the charge 2. After watching it, it took me less than 1 minute to put the new band on. The old band had ripped near the clasp almost completely through. I didn't even notice it until the next morning and I have no clue as to why it ripped. Thanks again!
Thank you so much. My Niece gave me her old Fitbit cause she got an Apple Watch. I’m almost 70 so have to rely on channels like yours. I liked and subscribed. Have a great week Ps my band wasn’t broken, I just wanted different colors.
Thank you for this! I had to change my Charge 2 band because one of the clasps broke. I bought a $10 leather replacement on Amazon. Let’s see how long this one lasts. Pretty straight forward video w clear instructions, i like.
I have actually created a specific wearables You Tube channel now should you be interested - including Fitbit videos ru-vid.com/show-UCbAiMz3iEkPT9WqSUvqArvw
Thank you very much for this simple demonstration. My band split and when the new one came I had no clue how to get the old one off and the new one on, but I had it done in a couple of minutes watching your video.
thanks for the help. My original band came apart and I couldn't remember how to replace it. I'd have figured it out eventually, but you saved me lots of time and massive amounts of frustration. Thanks so much for the help.
Changed mine because I wore it out. The side with the holes broke after 3 years. Then I used your video about a year ago to change it to a new knock off brand band. It lasted about a year and the plastic under peg that sits in a hole and holds it in place broke off then breaking the small band around the buckle side That also holds it in place. Got to use your video again! Thanks!
Good tutorial. Thanks for the clear instructions. I replaced my metal mesh band with a plastic one because the metal mesh band was catching on things and fraying my long-sleeved sweaters. As a bonus, I find the softer plastic band is much more comfortable than the metal mesh band. Also the fitbit stays put on my wrist now instead of falling down onto my hand. Very happy with the change! I almost gave my fitbit away until I realized I could buy a new band instead!
Thank you so much! I had to change a magnetic band I bought because it was less bulky but always caught on my sleeve. I had no clue how to change the band and found your video which was perfect and just removed the magnetic band and put on a new one, Thank you!
