Thanks for the video! I made the mistake of not priming the fuel system as you showed on my F250 6.4L the first time I changed the filters. (I was so used to my wife's 5.9 Dodge Cummins for 10+ years) Anyway I know full well how big of a pain in the rear-end it is to get that 6.4L going again after a dry start. Thanks again for the video. It will definitely help anyone who is doing this job!

I usualy whipe everything down with a clean shop rag. Then spray it with some brake clean then if it leaks you will see it. I alwaws blow clean both areas with shop air, in the primary filter area i will check the are for mud and dirt build up and if necessary clean the area with a high presure hose. If you get on it from the opposite side of the truck you wont get so much blow back. I try to spray my undercaridge a couple of times a year. Around here the city and Hiway put salt down in the winter. If you have access to a hoist you can realy help keep the corrosion down. If you have a good anty rust product spray a little of that around as well👍have a great day

I always wipe out the primary filter housing to feel for contaminants sand dirt etc... I have found fine sand. If there are contaminants spray the housing out good I use carb cleaner first then I spray it out with brake clean. Then I take a spray bottle with clean diesel fuel and spray it out real good getting the cap and threads real good. Watch where you get your fuel from.
