How To Change the Rotor Brush on the Carpet Sweeper

Dog hair gets wrapped around the rotor (I have 3 floofs) so from time to time I need to remove the rotor to remove the hair.

I had no problem releasing the roller and putting it back in the last time but I can't pull the other end out enough to get the roller back in. Is there a simple way of pulling it out far enough so the brush will drop back in?

You must be kidding - it's practically impossible to pull that tab out to put the brush end in!!
