In this video, I'll be showing you how to change your video background on your iPhone without any green screen with iMovie. In this iMovie tutorial, you will learn how to step by step how to edit videos on iMovie and how to change your video background.
iMovie is free software that mostly comes preinstalled on your iPhones. You don't need a green screen to change your video background, you can change the video background without a green screen using the iMovie application on your phone and edit your videos professionally.

Probably because there’s some red in your clothes and your skin tone. Which is why it is keying out that color along with the background as well.

Yes, because I had one and best result comes with a GS. However, you can certainly use it without one as well which I explained in the video how to key out any solid color.

Try standing far from the background and adjust your lighting as you’d need good lighting for proper keying

Should work fine as long as: - The background is a single color - Lighting is good so the background stays the same color and not different shades - when removing the background, you need to click "Reset" on the top left corner of the screen and then tap on the background-color

I presume this is happening because when you add the background layer, it’s automatically applying kenburns which needs to be disabled first.

Hello SGL. I am doing the process with a solid background (white). Once I finish putting the video together in imovie. My face is very dim, it looks like I am a ghost! Anything I can do to fix it?

It sounds like the lighting and contrast might need adjustment. Try enhancing the brightness and contrast of your face, either while shooting the video, and/or later using the iMovie app's editing tools to make your face more visible and less dim.

I see, there’s an option to adjust the amount of background vs foreground blur on the top right corner. You can select the background area first, and then adjust by bringing the levels down or up. If this still doesn’t help, please let me know and I can make another video explaining in more detail.

Would be difficult since white is a shade in our skin tone. Try green or blue with good lighting for best results.

You’d have to do this multiple times, i.e. creating multiple layers of your video is longer than 2m30s

Your shirt must be white or have a white shade in it. Upon trying to key out, it keys out the foreground white color of your clothes as well. Try wearing different colors than your background

Even a ring light can work. But make sure to place it at 45 degree angle on life and right side. Also, turn all the room lights on so the background is evenly lit.

I think you can download but not sure about PC to be honest. It works flawlessly with ios devices though.

Mac Pro is good, but only if it’s the newer M2 processor chip. Otherwise, you’re better off with a PC tbh - especially for video editing!

K, so I just want to say. First, u say without green screen, but u use a green screen. Second, it clearly says blue or green screen. No worries at all. The color picker can be moved to the solid color background. However, it’s best to use a green screen if possible to get the best results
