If you're wondering how to change Xbox LED colors on the Xbox Elite Series 2 Controllers you can in the new Xbox Update. Changing the Xbox Button color has been available on the Series 2 Xbox Elite Controller but was only able to be done via Steam on PC. You can't change it on any of the current Xbox controllers except the Elite Series 2.

You have to press B to save the presets on anything with the elite series 2. You can’t just leave the app without saving it.

Haven’t seen that. It’ll change colors with different profiles but shouldn’t on its own.
