Once you set up an account, ChargePoint will also send you an RFID card upon request to use in places with poor cell service, such as underground garages or rural areas. Highly recommended having one to keep in your console just in case.

GOOD CONTENT to share with new EV owners I’ve seen some EV owners had issues using them.

I’ve had a Volt for years and ChargePoint is pretty much all I’ve ever seen in KC so this video is really familiar. I’m like “I KNOW this one!” Still learned a trick or two though, thanks

If EV is charging on Level 1 & drawing 12 Amps from the wall @ 120 V, is it okay to stop charging by just unplugging the J1772 end from the EV while 12 Amps are flowing through it? I usually reduce the charge limit to a value lower than the current SOC from inside the car while charging, that stops the charging, then I unplug, then I increase the charge limit back to its original value.

Can you have one cable NACS and one cable J1772 installed on this unit?

Only for DC fast charging my friend. The Nissan Leaf still has the J1772 port for level 2 and level 1 charging.

Ryan, we need your help! We have a 2022 EUV Bolt and are driving it from Peoria, Illinois to a resort outside Atlanta, Ga. The problem is, even if we charge at level 3s, it would take us 20 hours both ways + or -... We are considering "renting a gas SUV" from Hertz for that week at $460 because of the bolt's slow charging rate. Do you have any suggestions? I LOVE YOUR HELPFUL VIDEOS!

Not only does the Bolt charge slowly, but Level 3 chargers can often cost as much as gasoline, if not more! Renting a gas car may be a good option. Still sounds like a good idea to have an electric car for 99% of your travel, and then rent a gas car when needed.
