Part two-and-a-half of the restoration of the 1953 MG TD belonging to a friend of mine. The car was owned by the previous owner for 40 years, but has been untouched for the past 15.
Having removed the twin SU H2 carburettors from the MG TD in Part Two of the restoration series, it was then time to see what mess and debris had accumulated within them in the 15 years since the car was on the road. I was also able to check that they were in a reasonable condition wear wise and replace all of the many aged seals, washers and gaskets. I certainly learnt a lot doing these carbs and hopefully you'll learn something too by watching me!
