How to check filter on Mira Advance ATL Thermostatic Shower & Priming Commissioning of Mira Advance ATL Thermostatic Shower.
This is the older type Mira electric shower (I have another video on the newer updated version). If you have a Mira Advance Water Supply error it could be a blocked filter, and you can replace the filter on the Mira Advance ATL shower.
In this video I will show you how to remove the cover on the Mira Advance ATL, then remove the filter on the Mira Advance ATL, then check the filter and install a new filter on the Mira Advance ATL.
Then I will show you how to Prime the Mira Advance ATL and finally how to Commission the Mira Advance ATL.

Remember it is very important before performing any work on the Mira shower you must isolate the electricity supply, and also turn off the mains cold water if you are removing pipework.

0:16 Check this before removing the filter.
0:30 Let's start, isolate the electricity.
0:43 Turn off the mains cold water at the stopcock.
1:08 Remove the base plate holding screw.
1:25 Remove the shower front panel, mind the ribbon!
2:08 The electrical cover.
2:13 Filter location.
2:17 Undo filter, two spanners needed.
3:56 Filter removed.
4:19 Install a new filter if needed & tighten.
4:52 Turn water back on & TOP TIP for Stopcock.
5:24 Prime the Mira Advance, DON'T turn power on yet!
6:28 Dry inside the base of the shower, primer does leak.
6:34 Install Electrical cover (important).
6:42 Put front panel back on and plug in.
7:31 Put base plate holding screw back in.
7:53 Turn electricity supply back on and shower back on.
7:59 Commissioning the Mira Advance Shower.
8:48 Do you still have a fault?
9:10 OMG I forgot to have a CUP OF TEA ! Aghhhhh.

Very helpful video, I didn't change the filter but followed the commissioning steps and is working, no longer giving the beeps and all lights and not working, well for the time being, I may need to change the filter at some point. Thanks

Great video! Any idea on how to make the water hotter? The dial at 9, is Luke warm. Just moved in and need a hot shower. Many thanks.

Sounds like a flow rate issue as we never have ours above 6 and it’s hot! There are settings inside where you can adjust factory max temp but you shouldn’t need to. Hope you can get it sorted.

Hi thanks really imformative , my shower is constantly dripping from shower head, could it be the seal I'm shower head or will it be the solenoid valve, it once started bleeping I turned it off and back on with isolation switch , and it stopped bleeping

If you remove the head from the hose does it still drip out the hose? Sounds like an internal fault

Hi, i wanted to ask , this machine, could it be changed to the electric version? they have one called ' decor' and wanted to redo the toilet but have that installed instead! or is it a whole different system?

I have this same model. it has worked fine for 10 plus years, but suddenly it would cut out after 20 seconds. I checked filter which is still clean and in good order. The water pressure is fine as it comes through strong when priming on cold. I thought it wise to replace the whole unit with the modern Mira version which has the same internal gubbings. I followed the priming instructions and cold comes through fine and strong, but as soon as you turn the heat control to anything from 1 to 9 the status light turns red/orange indicating a fault and the water slows rapidly. I can't believe both the old and the new unit have the same problem. Do you have any idea what I could try or test. Surely if the cold comes through strong it can't be a plumbing or blockage issue.

Have you ever had any problems with that adjustable bracket, (shower head goes on)not staying in position on the sliding rail, just sliding down,.

O yes yes yes, ridiculous stupid invention. I think it’s designed for disabled people so it’s easy to move but it’s a joke coz you can’t lock it into place and it just gradually decides to slide downwards. Hopeless.

Try a Large Hair Claw Clip Clamp with elastic bands threaded through the hair clamps teeth , place under the shower head bracket, this worked for me anyway .

I've had problems with this shower for the last year or so but hadn't tried the filter. Filter seemed fine. Primed the cold water first time & it came through fine but nothing after that. It seems blocked to me somewhere. Any ideas please?

Not sure I’m afraid. They only last about 10 years. May need to contact Mira and get a service engineer to have a look, but they are expensive unfortunately

I’m having a problem with my shower, exactly the same as this one. It always beeps at me so I reset it but this time the water will be on maximum but only warm, any ideas?

Ours was the same. Was about 7-10 years old and kept playing up. I replaced filter but still kept coming up with water supply error. Probably a board error but Mira wanted £184 just to visit and have a look! I managed to get a brand new one for a decent price and eventually swapped it. Hope you can fix yours.

Hi, Just a "quick" observation, but when you turned of the Power you only turned off the power to the lights, which is on a 6Amp MCB. Showers tend to be 20Amps or similar, depending on the shower rating.

@@LurgsHowToGuides Indeed you did, but why show the Consumer board and a 6Amp MCB, slightly misleading to anyone not aware, as they might turn off the MCB for the Lights instead, thinking that's what they need to do?

@@KenHaskey Fair point but that MCB does actually switch off the whole bathroom, lights and shower. I agree the sticker is misleading but I’m just advising that anyone turns off the electricity supply. Good spot though.
