Thats Exacly what happen to me from my local hobby shop i was lucky to find this helpful video n luckily i did not run it in my new nitro rc truck. Legit video informative also u would get a laugh watching it thanks for the help
More good info. I got at least a dozen lc3 plugs laying around. I use them in all my engines from .12 up to .28 and they work fine. Tried some protek plugs they seem pretty good too just a little pricey.
@@thebug4046 all my local hobby shops love putting os8 plugs and refuse to stock any plugs accept os8 and traxxas plugs so I got trx plugs in mostly everything
@@peterrcbasher I absolutely hate hobby shops like that that do not cater to their customers wants or needs grab some LC3 OR LC4 plugs you will really like them! The Traxxas plugs are a cheap over priced China plug.
And the Bug says, “Buzz off”. LOL- Nice info there bud. Hey some 4in 1 screwdrivers specially those cheap orange one you find on the counter have thin walls that allow to fit into almost any head I know. Hey I send you shout out on my new vid. 🇨🇱👍
Hey Bug404 ,I was wondering if you can do an up to date review of how & why people back in the day had to cut the crankshaft threads off to shorten the crankshaft? I looked everywhere for a vid to explain to some newbies that dont know about it do to their engine fitment & flywheel issues! I feel that you are the right person to do this an there seems to be no other vids about an old school cut crankshaft from back in the day!..It would help newbies understand ,thanx!...👍..😎
@@thebug4046 Thnx ,very much ,it is for a forum member that doesnt know any of the old school stuff & tricks!..👍 When I tried explaining to him about his crank being too long an needed to be cut ,I think he thought that I was crazy ,but all I told him was ,that it is old school technology an I laughed at him!..😂
@@fcbaker65 hahaha no problem I'm not sure if you're in my rc group nitro/diesel/gas rc and more? If not hit me up in there and bring your buddy as well but like I mentioned i will do a video explaining it. I have had the questions pop up a few times
Hi, My engine(.18) uses short Os8 but where I am I only find the standard lenght plugs. With double washers it fits perfectly. Could using double washers work?
@@rawlemonsaregood2539 if you If are able to get the parts cheap it off then sure I have a video on how to rebuild the 2.5 model which is exactly the same process a few videos down
Like I explained. 100% of rc car engines are 2 stroke you will Only see forestroke in airplane engines it's completely different same principle On a catalytic reaction. 2 Completely different engines like a 2 struck weed eater versus a 4 stroke lawn war if you want to put it that way
@keith they have a different type of intake and exhaust valves/ports. with a 2 stroke, there is always fuel and air when the piston nears TDC so it fires every rotation, on a 4, there is only spent exhaust and no fresh air or fuel to be ignited. hope this helps.
