There are lot of stores selling refurbished and replacement phones as brand new that’s why I have made this video even apple is selling authorized refurbished devices with one year warranty for a normal individual it’s very difficult to understand these technical details you can see in the links below the discussion in apple forums itself probably it will clear all your doubts 👇 discussions.apple.com/thread/7430848?answerId=29664848022#29664848022
pleae tel me which phone is giving apple as replacment, if its not genune one (M series) which phone they r givng to us? They will gve a phone which was someone retunred to apple due to some issue, that phone only they r giving as a replacment right. If whts the dfrnt between N & F?
Yes I agree usually Replacement Device (N) is also a Refurbished ones because apple usually gives a used or fixed device but with warranty as replacement. Some people might be luck to get a brand new device as Replacement but it’s quite rare also, apple certified refurbished devices will have a brand new battery with 100%health
Never known about this info. Very useful. Mine iPhone turned out to be ‘M’. Thank you. Recommended your video to my brother who is planning to get a new iphone.
Great video. I’ve bought an iPhone some months ago on a website that sells refurbished iPhones. To my surprise the model number starts with M. Also when I checked the battery health it was and still is 100%. Also no visible damage whatsoever, no scratches or dents or other imperfections, even when I inspected the device very closely. I’m baffled.
@Nay Lynn Aung I have never had a problem is N devices. I got my battery replaced by Apple and they just gave me other phone which has N. Been using it for 2 years and have had no problem. Also had a camera issues with my original iPad mini and they replaced it under warranty “N” and it is still going strong after 8 years. So in my experience “N” devices are just as good as brand new.
Let’s be clear here if a refurbished iPhone you got that was directly from Apple there’s not much to worry about because what happens is that customers who has AppleCare plus and opts for the express replacement or to be replaced under limited warranty that iPhone is repaired and sold back as refurbished or used as a replacement device, consider in mind that you’d still have coverage on it so it’s not a loose situation. Secondly I would t really recommend buying refurbished phones from a third party seller as most of the times they will tend to sell you defective devices. Thirdly the model number does not implicate that the iPhone was replaced or refurbished you’d have to call Apple directly to confirm such details.
Bro u saved me. After a google search i was so disappointed cause my serial number starts with F, here I found that I had to watch the number above and it starts with M. Feel so happy! Thanks!
Thanks today I learn something new, After watching the video I check all my apple devices and my Mac's Air pods and apple watch starts with M, my iPhone starts with N because I remember that I replaced in the pass and my iPad and apple pencil starts with a P because I engraved with my name.
Please reply me. I bought a new sealed box pack iPhone 7 128gb in India but the warranty is showing only for three months it's a global iphone I bought it new at the price of 36000/- should I return it because I have a doubt it's refurbished because warranty is only for 3months but the model number starts from letter " M "
I have an N, as in replacement/refurbished. I knew that this phone was a refurbished one since they said that in the store when I got it. It was in a 100% perfect condition but it was nice that I still got a 200-something euro discount.
@@hasanfares2058 Gave it away to my mom. But the battery had definitely gotten a lot worse after 2 years of use and the ear speaker was practically silent. But that’s from very extensive use. Other than that, was great.
hello. i plan to buy an iphone through my relative in qatar, but i have concerns regading it and i feel like you're the one who can answer. it will arrive here in the philippines with box unopen, sealed, and phone isn't yet used or opened. hence, does it still require openline or factory unlock either here or in qatar where the iphone was bought? or what whould i do? hope you can see this ♡
Dear Mr Tech , Kindly assist should i buy a replaced(N) i phone x with 100% battery health and new condition. they are claiming it is unused. It cost almost 470 USD
I got an iPhone replacement from apple under the limited warranty which I newly purchased for 3 days and they gave me an N serial, one side saying it is new, on apple support they said it is Apple is different from other manufacturers, they don't call refurbished, remanufactured is the term. Keep insisting it is different. This is the warranty from the most profitable company currently.
Depends that’s unfortunately until you open and check the model number it’s difficult to say if it’s a replacement (N) by apple but as you mentioned it’s written with some scratches etc so it can’t be a brand new device
THANK YOU SO MUCH. I KNOW THIS IS YEAR OLD BUT I NEEDED THIS VIDEO. this is so worth knowing, i bought a phone today from a store that was pre-owned but said it was working like brand new i found out its originally from apple by the model number
Got a Amazon refurbished 13 pro ,battery health 99%… it’s Guaranteed for 1 year I can send it back for any reason n get a refund,,, Can’t beat that deal!
@@republicofitaly1828 I was first planning to get the 12, but heard of it getting delayed. I shattered my Android and now will be buying the 11 Pro Max soon. But I will get the 12 later.
I got a refurbished iPhone today and I checked the model number and it started with ‘M’, does this mean my phone wasn’t broken in the first place? And also it is on 100% battery, can I trust this from a refurbished phone? I didn’t pay extra for a new battery. Thank you 😊
▶️ it should be refurbished by apple only then only you will get F in the model no. ▶️if its done by a third party retailer or seller then it wont have the new model no. ▶️ The only way the M can be changed is for the Apple iPhone Factory to FLASH the new info to the motherboard and over write the old info. Only Apple can do a factory refurbish. ▶️If Phone Repair shop changes out anything on the iPhone nothing will change in the iPhones internal information and you did not do a factory refurbish. ▶️If an Apple repair shop changes out anything on the iPhone nothing will change in the internal information, still not an Apple Factory refurbish.
Tech 786 hi, thank you so much for the reply 🙂 I bought my iPhone from The IOutlet as a refurbished phone, and so that’ll be why the code starts with M. I bought it in one of the highest grades, I can see some scuffs but apart from that it seems new. What made me curious about the battery is because normally for 100% you would have to pay extra which I didn’t do, so I was confused why is was on full battery, can I trust that? But yes that’s all, thank you again for your reply and for helping!
Yeah! Mine iPhone XS Max model number starts from M but my Face lock is not working, whenever I try to setup my face lock it shows that lower you iPhone and didn’t work, please reply if you have any solution!

I'm actually a lover of apple product, but unfortunately for me I have only been able to use iPhone 5 due to financial problems. I'm looking forward getting at least iPhone x one day. Great video tho
wow i just bought 2nd hand iphone X and i check its model number starting with M (so its brand new before right not refurb?)... i hope this phone can last for 2-3 years use :)
Your advice is really helpful for me beacuse I am going to buy iphone 13 pro max & its my first iphone and I hope I will get the new device not replacement or personal.
Depends where you buy then from apple certified refurbished are better then local refurbished iPhones as apple gives you warranty and do all quality checks before selling them but they are not a brand new device
Repaired devices are anyways refurbished and used regardless of the model number there are lot of devices specially iPhone X and above they loose the Face ID once the screen is changed by a local repair shop
